Chapter 7

Arjun's Pov

The last I remembered was that I pulled Sakshi closer when she was about to get hit by a truck. I love her features so much, those sharp judgemental eyes were filled with fear. I pulled her closer by her waist, she was safe in my arms. I can't let another accident take place in my presence. That's when I heard her name being called out.

Carla, uh! Kaarna, I can't ever get this woman's name correct. By the way, who names it's kid Kaarna!!! She passed a bitchy smile and stared at Sakshi, "huh... Bandopadhyay sir would be so happy to know that her dear interviewer of the month is fooling around with her client." She spoke sarcastically, then her eyes moved towards me, with a seductive grin on her face, she waved at me, "Hi, Arjun."

I was still holding Sakshi but she pushed me away. I tried to clarify things, "Kaarna it's not what you think"

Damn! That bitch, she passed away, biting her lower lip, "Bye Arjun."

What the heck? Was she really going to complain about Sakshi to her boss? Why would she do that? I swear I have slept with most of my interviewers but Sakshi was not the one. I couldn't let her spoil her name. I was pulled from my whirlwind of thoughts by Sakshi.

She stomped her foot on the ground, "Shit... you... I ... FUCK YOU."

Did I mention she looks cute when she is frustrated? This time she was so frustrated that even words couldn't leave her mouth. I chuckled from inside, I tried to hide it, but sure she saw that slight grin on my face.

"Woah, Woah, Woah, no need to be angry with me mimey, I saved you", I raised my hands in surrender.

"IT WOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH BETTER IF YOU HADN'T", she screamed at me, why the heck did she always have to scream?

"Bandopadhyay sir is going to fire me."

When these words left her mouth, I understood. She loved her job, she worked hard to get where she is today. Just a misunderstanding could harm her career. I need to fix all of this. I tried to calm her down

"Why the heck you are so stressed about your boss?", I stressed, "I slept with most of the interviewers from the magazine, I didn't sleep with you, doesn't that a plus point."

"Just Shut up! Everyone knows that but there has never been valid proof or a witness to that. SHE is gonna tell on me."

Dude, she was panicking hard. Come on Arjun, a joke, quick a joke may soften the situation.

"So what, just sleep with your boss and the problem is sort", I giggled, wishing her to do the same.

But instead, her eyes welled up, did the joke make her cry?

"You just go away, never show me your face again and don't you dare speak a word against... Bandopadhyay sir."

She started walking away. Come on Arjun say something that will stop her, anything, just say it. I said to myself.

"Are you already sleeping with him", I shouted from behind. Wait, what did I just say? Why would I have to say that, Oh my goodness, I completely ruined it.

"I can't deal with any more of this", she gritted her teeth in anger and marched to the elevator.

Yes, now I ruined it. Come on, where the heck is my brain gone, why can't I use it properly? I am good with girls. Then why can't I comfort her? Instead, it seemed like I made fun of her. I was just trying to lighten her mood, I ruined it. I sighed, I ruined it completely. I have to fix this. Yes, Carla... I bit my tongue, chh... Kaarna. I ran towards the elevator.
