Piece of Cake

"So how are you doing Rei-chan? It's okay to call you that right?" Amaya-chan said while eating her parfait.

They were at the cafe in front of the station. It was Rei's favorite cafe. Since Amaya just arrived at the district, she didn't know much about the place.

Well if it's you, his tought. "Mm mm~ well fine I guess. I worked at CCG. Shinohara-san is my partner. You must be have figured that out yet" he said while putting another piece of strawberry cake in his mouth.

"Yeaa~ is it fun?"

"What work? Well yeah sometimes. I have fun, killing some bad ghouls" then he chuckled. "So what you're doing after graduate Amaya-chan? I thought you went to another district"

"You're right! I choosed to continue my study at university. I choosed IT. I lived with my onee-chan. We always moved following his work"

"Hee? You have one? I just knew!"

"Mm mm~its not blood related. But he took care of me really well! He found me when I was just wandering without any destination. He's the one who's looking for my college, I got a scholarship by the way. He's really nice~~" she told him. She always got really excited everytime she talked about her onee-chan. She loved him so much.

"I want to meet him!" Rei suddenly burst out. "He seems a fun guy!"

"Yeaaa!I promised, next time I showed him to you!" Then the two of them laughed and talked about any particular things. Hobby, house, anything. Time flew so fast. They talked until evening, and Rei has eaten 4 cakes. He really had a sweet mouth.

"I think I should go home, Rei-chan. Its getting darker" she stood up and walked to the cashier. Paid for the cakes she and Rei ate.

"It's okayy. Its my treat. I really have fun todayy!" She said with a cheerful tone.

"Me too~ we should do it again next time!". Amaya nodded in approval. They walked out the cafe. "Come on! I walked you to the station. You know what train to take until your home right?" Sometimes Rei just worry about how careless Amaya-chan can be. He took her hand without thinking.

"I guess so!" Amaya just hold to Rei's hand tighter. Its bigger than her. I guess Rei has grown a bit, the tought make her giggled. It was easy to follow Rei's step, since she always walked that jumpy too.

"Nah nah. Thank you Rei-chan. I guess I leave here. See you tomorrow!" And with that, she waved and run to the train before the door closed.

"Yeaaa. Be careful Amaya-chan!" He waved back. The train door had shut but he still could see Amaya standing. She just gave him a wide grin and after that the train left.

Rei walked home with a happy feeling he never felt for a long time.
