❛❛ Blood is thicker than water ❞
I am sure you would have heard of this quote sometime in your lifetime.
Well... this is my truth you know, or was to be exact.
A misnomer princess in a shallow castle of haunted ghosts of the past... the first legacy queen who left behind her shadow.
My siblings' mother but not mine.
Kehne ko to, I am part of their clan... the precious daughter of their beloved Prince, my father... but I never understood why they treated me with the a degree of aloofness that they didn't bestow onto my sister.
'Bade bachho ko zada pyaar milta hai. Chhote ki to koi value hi nahi hai!'
These were the lies I would tell myself, because doesn't every family dynamic face a certain degree of partiality ?
I mean even my brother was a little too beloved by the family.
So maybe it seemed possible that their love was now a stern care for me because they had spent all their doting devotion onto my gentle elder siblings.
How naïve of me!
My mother was not the first choice is it ?
How can they be so cruel to her ?
Is it because she comes from a poor family, unlike their first choice ?
Is wealth and prestige all they care about ?
'Aisa nahi hai Aru!'
'Shut up Akshara!
Tujhe kabhi meri feelings samajh nahi ayengi!
They never say anything against your
family so how would you know ?'
'Aisa nahi hai Aru. Mumma is my mother too.
Unki family meri bhi family hai. Bhaiya ki bhi...
Maine apni Naira maa ko kabhi saamne se nahi
dekha aur jinko dekha unko hi apna mana hai.
Tu itna kadva kyun sochrahi hai ?'
