Y/n's POV :

Was 17 when I met HIM

I wasn't really close with that many

I was only close with Marco, used to go back to my room when others used to come

Some thought me and Marco were dating

Not gonna lie, I did had a little bit of a crush on him

However he was much older than me

And didn't saw me that way

"You dating that introverted chick or what" His friends asked as he shook it off

"Mind your words! She is just comfortable with me"

.. I gave up on my first puppy love just for that reason

It didn't hurt much

Just felt insecure that maybe I was not enough

Yeah dirty, why will anyone want that?

Soon he joined the crew

"What's happening Marco?" I asked, seeing fights happening a little further from the ship

"Some newbie wanted to challenge Pops, Jimbe is taking care of him tho"
He said as I looked at the distance figures fighting

"He seems like he will die" I muttered

"Don't worry, Pops isn't that cruel"

I narrowed my eyes

I want him to die, why will anyone want to take Pops head?

They decided to keep him

Ugh I don't want that

I was newly learning about how to bandage people because I wanted to be the ship's nurse

The others were wary of 'Ace' because he was trying to harm Pops any chance he gets

Marco saw it as a good opportunity

Ace can get treated normally and Y/n can practice easily, getting used to touching people again

He called onto me to Ace's room at almost midnight because Pops threw Ace from his room into the ocean again, breaking some walls

I started to bandage him as he stared at me

"What are you looking at kid?" He shouted at me

"Oi oi she is innocent don't curse her-yoi" Said Marco

Ace just clicked his tongue and let me do my job

"I will be going then" I started walking out of the door as I heard Marco talking about me

"She is an orphan who was a raped Slave before coming here, don't be hard on her, she recently started to open up more"

They didn't knew I was hearing all this

I peeked through the door to see Ace get a regretful expression all over his face

"I- I see" He replied

Since that night he started to not be too much of a problem for me

Same he started to open up to the crew, maybe after knowing they treat a girl like me so well he got some sense back
