The island

I started off into the wilderness, towards the small island of Narvaken, rumored to be the home of the Brotherhood Of Silent Arrow. A band of thieves, assassins, warriors, and anyone else who doesn't have a home anymore.

I reached the bank, from which you can see the island. I forced a merchant to hand over his small canoe to me, via blade and set off towords the small, tree covered island.

The banks of the island were covered in logs and other evidence of life. Also, a shanty pier petruted from the sands. I tied off the canoe and tightened my hand upon the hilt of my mentors blade.
I entered the forest through an opening in the treeline which was connected to a small, narrow trail. As I ventured forth, sounds of animals and such, filled my ears. I knew I wasn't alone but I continued. As I reached what seemed to be the trails end, I felt a small pinch in my neck, instinctively, my hand gripped at the pain and I pulled out a small, feathered needle. Very cliche of them but I suppose it worked because I woke up, bound and stripped in the center of a dimly lit room, surrounded by hooded people. In front of me stood the obvious leader. His armor was quite expensive looking compared to the other, simple brown clothing. His hood was down, revealing his dirty and scared face.

"Who are you, intruder?" His voice was low and very un-intimidating except for the dozen armed men around me.

"My name is Salem Kaine. I have traveled from the mainland to seek training and the means to find revenge and retribution." His eyebrow raised as he walked around me, examining.

"You look like a man who has seen some troubles in his life. Tell me, what is your most regrettable moment?" i looked down at the dirty floor and thought.

"I do not regret anything other than not being able to save my mentor from the terrors of the Tarvon army only a week ago. That is my only regret. I have made peace with my failures. Although, I do not intend to have anymore." His dark eyes stayed fixed on me while he was clearly thinking.

"What sort of warrior are you?" His vague question swam around in my brain and finally i spoke.

"I am a warrior who does what he has to, to get the job done. To protect his brothers and his family." The corners of his mouth began to curl into a dark grin and he chuckled slightly.

He walked back to the front of the room and pulled something from the table beside his throne and turned back, handing me a small, black, curved dagger and said "If you wish to call the guild your home, you must prove yourself worthy." i took the blade in hand and our eyes meet and i nod.

"Maron, bring this man his new attire." the small hooded man behind me nodded and bolted off, returning with a brown outfit, similar to what the guild members were wearing.

As i slipped on the new clothes, the man continued talking, giving me the details on my quest. "There is a man in riverbed who has been spreading rumors about our guild, he needs to die. Can you do that?" i nod, slipping the dagger into the small sheath on my side.

"His name is Brazen Torro. Kill him. Return with evidence and we will talk about you joining the guild. Now, be off." i turn and begin to walk away, flipping the hood onto my head as i reach the tied up canoe.
