It's been 5 years since Kyubin came to terms with Taeyeob's sudden departure from him and his friends, sure it hurt them a lot but they understood that it was what he needed or wanted to do. He knew that Taeyeob wanted to be a better version of himself but he also wanted to be there to see it and support him but that was something he couldn't do. All he knew was that when the day came for Taeyeob's return he was going to welcome him in with open arms and shower him in the love he deserved. Feeling his phone vibrate in his pocket Kyubin took his phone into his hands and saw that Junhyung was calling. Must be important?
"Yeah?" Kyubin answered as he looked down at the papers on his desk before he looked at the wall a habit he picked up recently.
"Sungho is picking Milo up from preschool, I couldn't make it due to low staff at the shop." Junhyung informed Kyubin who hummed understanding that he couldn't make it to pick up his godson. So much has changed since you left my love.
"It's fine, I should be finished with work soon anyways. Thanks for the help though, you guys are life savers." Getting a 'you're welcome' from the other end of the call and ended it Kyubin continued on with his work drowning himself in it like he usually did.
Kyubin didn't think that things would change so much after Taeyeob left, he knew that it was gonna happen sooner of later but he took it like a champ. About a year after Taeyeob left, Kyubin grew close with Wookjin, Sungho and Junhyung making them Milo's godparents in case anything would happen, he was thankful for the help he's gotten from them and would do anything in return when it was time to give back. Today was just one of those day where he was stuck in his office at his company he joined after getting fired from his last, he made sure to keep to himself and not make as close of a connection he did last time but he did make some co-worker friends he would only talk with at work but other than that it wasn't much. It was half past 9 and Kyubin was on his way to Sungho and Junhyung's shared apartment to pick up Milo who he was more than happy to see him.
"Thank you again Sungho, I don't know what I would've done if I didn't have you guys." Kyubin said once he entered the apartment to see Sungho and Milo cuddled up in the living room watching Treehouse.
"It's nothing, Milo was excited once he saw me. Oh! He had a little accident at school with one of the kids." Sungho pause before he spoke again getting up from the couch to help get him ready to leave.
"His teacher said he and another student were arguing about a toy that he was playing with and the other kid had pushed him hurting his feelings." Kyubin nodded and went over to Milo who immediately clung onto him, something he's done when he knew how his day went at school.
"I'm going to need your help again tomorrow, I have a late meeting tomorrow evening with the company. I don't know when it'll end so would it be fine if Milo stayed the night?" Sungho nodded as he followed Kyubin and Milo out the door before the two dib their goodbyes and left.
