Chapter 1: Monster

Tzuyu's POV

"Tzuyu! Look up!" I heard Chaeyoung  shouted and when I looked upwards, she was already free falling towards me.

I immediately caught her before we hit each other and pushed her to the ground.

"Dumbass! Why would you do that?! It'll kill you! Idiot!" I shouted at her and pulled her up making her fly up to the trees again.

She was just laughing at me while she's skipping through the branches of trees like a monkey while Dahyun unnie is tailing her behind.

"Have a little fun, Tzuyu... You're always obedient." Dahyun unnie said.

I just ignored them and continued walking back to our house.

When we're near the house, I sensed someone following me from behind and when I turned around, I saw a pair of glowing purple eyes.

I got ready for the attack, but was distracted when Chaeyoung and Dahyun unnie screamed.

I was surprised by the attack but managed to get the wolf down in no time.

"Great Job, Tzuyu..." A familiar voice came out from the wolf.

I didn't let my guard down and didn't move my hands from the wolf's neck.

"Okay... Tzuyu, you're hurting me." The wolf said and her appearance started changing.

When I realized that it was Jeongyeon Unnie, I immediately helped her up and said my apologies.

"Jeongyeon unnie! How did you do that?!" Chaeyoung asked.

"Years of training... Just like what Tzuyu did..." She answered.

"You just tackled the person who taught you everything?" Dahyun unnie asked.

"No... But what Tzuyu did... Facing the enemies without hesitation... Is the main reason why a real vampire is powerful and strong." Jeongyeon unnie said.

"Good Job, Tzuyu... You can have extra time alone... While you Chaeyoung and Dahyun... Have to train with me again." Jihyo unnie said when she jumps down from the tree.

"Go, Tzuyu... Take some rest." Jeongyeon unnie said.

I nodded and smirked at Chaeyoung and Dahyun unnie.

"Have fun... Training with Jihyo unnie." I teased them.

The two of them sighed and followed Jihyo unnie back to the yard to train with them.

Jihyo unnie and Jeongyeon unnie are the persons who takes care of the three of us.

Ever since our parents died because of the attacks of the wolves, they didn't stop training us to be a great vampire.

"Tzuyu..." Jeongyeon unnie said while I'm watching Dahyun unnie and Chaeyoung training with Jihyo unnie at the yard.

"Unnie..." I said and looked at her.

"Are you alright?" She asked as she sat down on my bed.

"I'm fine..." I said.

"Tell me what you're thinking..." She said.

"I don't know what I am... I'm a vampire... But what's my purpose?" I asked.

She didn't answer but just smiled at me.

"People fear us... Because we basically rule this city... But... They also fear us... Because we're monsters..." I said.

"Tzuyu... You've seen me earlier... I'm a monster... That's why you faced me... But you didn't recognize me... Just like the people around this city... You don't get scared of them because you don't recognize them..." She said.
