Chapter 5: Memories

Sana's POV

"Tzuyu... You really don't remember me?" I asked as I sat down beside her.

She shook her head and looked away.

"Can I hold your hand? Even just for 10 seconds?" I asked.

She nodded and I immediately took her hand in mine.

I was sobbing quietly but I know she could hear me.

"What are we?" She asked.

"We're in a relationship... A forbidden love..." I said.

"How will I know if you're telling the truth?" She asked.

"I don't know..." I said.

She then looked at our hands and her thumb started moving up and down.

"This is comforting..." She said and held my hand tighter.

I smiled as she was starting to feel comfortable with me even if I'm a stranger to her.

We just sat there for hours not even talking, and I know she's feeling the area if there are threats.

Once her Jihyo unnie called her, she left not even saying anything to me.

What made me happy right now is I got to be with her for hours even if she doesn't know me.

Being with her is enough for now.

Tzuyu's POV

I'm seeing glimpse of the past, and the girl in the river... I saw her in my dreams, that's why I felt safe earlier.

I don't even know how I'm seeing my memories, but every time someone asks me if I remember something, I would deny it even I know some of the past.

I want to know what happened before that made our family a mess.

I don't want anything to be hidden from me, and this is my only way for me to know everything which is true or which is not.

"Tzuyu..." Dahyun unnie said when she entered my room.

"Unnie..." I said and looked at her.

"About the girl... In the river..." She said.

"I've seen her in my dreams... I trust her..." I said.

"I guess your mind knows who to trust..." She said with a smile.

"Should I trust her?" I asked.

"Ask yourself... Do you trust her?" She asked.

I nodded and she sat down beside me.

"Do you know why?" She asked.

"No..." I said.

"Look for clues... Tzuyu... They're just around your usual spot..." She said and left.

I made a note that I have to look for clues around my usual spot and just slept through the night.

The next morning, I went to hunt early so I can have more time for myself and when I got back to my usual spot, a rock made me trip.

I noticed some carvings, so I brushed the dried leaves off and looked at the carvings.

"Forbidden love may be hard, but it's the most genuine love I can have..." I read the carvings.

I realized that it was my hand writing, but who am I in love with?

"Tzuyu..." The girl I talked with yesterday suddenly sat down beside me.

"You can't be here..." I said.
