"In the midst of the night's chaotic dance, where shadows intertwine and chaos revels in its twisted delight, trust shatters and bonds are forged anew."

Daella stood beside her father and sister Helaena, her gaze fixed ahead as Vaemond spoke in high Valyrian, his insults directed not-so-subtly at Rhaenyra and her children. Daemon's laughter drew everyone's attention, but Daella remained focused on the unfolding scene, her smirk betraying her amusement. Despite Daemons laughter Vaemond's continued his talk as the Velaryon men dutifully gripped the ropes tightly as they then slid Laena's stone sarcophagus into the sea with a resounding splash.

As the crowd gathered at Driftmark's Cliffside, Daella found herself standing next to Aegon, idly sipping wine from her goblet as she observed the scene with mild boredom. Her attention briefly shifted to her sister, Helaena, who was engrossed in playing with a spider. Though Daella wasn't particularly fond of bugs herself, she couldn't help but smile at her sister's unusual fascination with them, especially when she heard Helaena talking about spools of green and black.

Aegon's voice broke through her thoughts as he remarked to Aemond, "We have nothing in common." Aemond's simple response, "She's our sister," prompted Aegon to quip, "You marry her, then," eliciting a knowing look from Daella. She was well aware of Alicent's plan to betroth Aegon to Helaena, a prospect that Daella didn't particularly relish given Aegon's tendencies. Sighing quietly, she listened to her brothers' conversation, smiling fondly at Aemond's dutifulness. "I would perform my duty if Mother had only betrothed us," Aemond remarked, prompting a scoff from Aegon to which he said "she's an idiot." Daella couldn't help but mutter under her breath, "Says the idiot," stifling her laughter behind her cup as Aegon shot her a reprimanding glance.

Aemond's mention of strengthening the family and keeping their Valyrian blood pure drew Daella's attention to Rhaenyra, and she exchanged a knowing glance with her sister. Aegon's dismissal of Aemond's words as idiocy only earned him a raised eyebrow from Daella, who silently agreed with her brother's assessment. As Aemond pointed out that Helaena was Aegon's future queen, Daella couldn't help but shoot a pointed look in Alicent's direction, knowing she was the mastermind behind the betrothal.

When the cup bearer approached, Aegon stopped her, signaling for another drink, prompting Daella to do the same as she noticed her own cup was drained. Aegon's comment about fancying creatures with long legs earned him a disbelieving look from Daella, who shook her head slightly at his antics. As Aegon walked away, calling for another drink, Daella rubbed Aemond's back in a comforting gesture before moving to sit beside Helaena in the shade.
