I fluttered my eyes open as I saw a bright white light
A dead mi dead? A heaven mi deh? Dem always seh a suh e guh when ppl dead enuh...God??
I closed my eyes and reopened them as I tried to get up
"Relax Shan" I heard Neika's voice as she held onto my hand
Mi alive, mi nuh bada dead, tears began to run down my cheek as I fell bk into the bed
"Call the doctor" she said to someone
"You fainted" she smiled as she held unto my hand
"She soon fwd" the mn who helped me said as he sat in a chair using his phone
"Who's that Neika?" I asked as I pointed to the mn with my lips
She and the man made eye contact and she looked bk at me
"I am her --"
"Cousin" Neika quickly said
And the man let out a humourless laugh
I knew she was lieing but mi rlly neva care mi jus happy mi alive

I sat up in the bed and removed the things from my hands
"I don't want to stay here" I cried and Neika hugged me tightly "I'm scared"
I could hear the mn hiss and he walked out the room but I still held on to Neika
"Come we a leave" Neika said as she released me
"Wi affi wait pan the doctor fi released mi" I said
"Ok" she said with a forced smile as she got up to leave the room
Neika POV
I walked out the room, trying to remain as calm and composed as I hid my bloody hands
Dem a get pan mi last nerves... how tf Shan reach ina dis and how dem reach a har work place and sumn
I leaned into a chair that was just outside the room that Shantina was in
I saw Alex approaching me with a kfc bag and a zinger wrapper in his hand
dis mn leff Flankers wid mi guh drop bout 300 mn and come bk ya a nyam zinger like nun tpc
"A yuh oman dat?" he asked nonchalantly as he placed the KFC bag in my lap
I hissed and he sat down next to me
"A mi bestfren" I said as I opened the bag and removed a box from the bag
BBQ Zinger Big Box, mi fav love dat, luv dat
"Best fren" he repeated as he finished his zinger
Mi genuinely a deal wid too much fi a go talk bout dis rn
I finished the sandwich and my stomach felt very nauseous... too much damn oil ina di chicken enuh or a sumn fk up mi stomach

I rushed to the bathroom and vomited up all that food I had just ate
I rinsed my mouth and dried my face with a paper towel as I looked into the mirror
Dat weird, how mi jus vomit up suh?
I walked out the bathroom and saw Alex at the door
"Yuh gov Neiks?" he asked
"Mhm"
"An yuh in deh a sound like a cock ya choke pan" he smirked
"Suck yuh self battymn" I said as I pushed his chest
He grabbed unto my hands as he stared down into my eyes
I felt the vomit coming again
"Mi aguh vomit again" I tried saying and he quickly released me and I rushed to the bathroom sink again
I rinsed my mouth and tried my face again
"Neiks yuh sick" Alex said as I held up my head
Him cya read, him nuh see seh is a woman bathroom
"Nun nuh do mi, unless a yuh poison mi" I said as I looked into his eyes through the mirror
"Yuh know mi rate yuh so why tf ya chat fkry, yuh fk yuhself nuff yeah but if nun a would 3rd degree murder mi would a put dung pan dah fat sumn deh yah wul dung between yuh thighs"
"Neiks mi a nuh waste mn a weak mn do dem sumn deh" he said as he came closer to me
I hissed and turned around facing him
"Mi wah go home" I said and he picked me up.
With me straddled around his waist, he walked out the bathroom and straight to the parking lot
He placed me down in the passenger's seat and reclined it and closed the door then he walked around to the driver's seat.
He then closed his door and drove out.

"You may leave now Shantina" Hate mi colleagues dem enuh now dem nah guh tap chat mi enuh
"Ok, Sara" I said and she faked a smile and left the room

I picked up my phone and dialed Neika
Calling 📞.......
No answer
Weh she gaan? I dialed the number again and Sara walked in, I quickly hung up as I looked at her. "Huh, wah?" I asked
"Ur friend left " she said

"Ok. Thank you for letting me know" I said and she walked out the room.
I fell bk into the hospital bed and closed my eyes
