Rewind

Prologue

The gods were not allowed to interfere with the mortal world and its affairs. Nor were they allowed to interfere in the cultivation world or the mundane world and in the every day of the lives of these people no matter what, and it was fine and all good.

So when two young men's lives unfolded before them like a sad love story mixed with horror and uncertainty, distrust, miscommunication, and misunderstandings and they wanted to do something. They were once again reminded. That they should not interfere or even attempt to. So all they could do was watch even though they itched to help or do something.

And then Wei Wuxian were brought back to the land of living through a forbidden spell. Now, in the body of the one who sacrificed his body, the two met again. Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian embark on a journey of mystery and solve puzzles again when a resentful arm starts to wreck havoc. Together, they solved the mystery, and finally, Lan Wangji took this change to stay by Wei Wuxian's side. He protected him and kept him safe.

The gods were pleased and happy. It seems the two would finally confess to each other and live happy together. Through it all, the secret about how sect leader Jiang got his golden core back was revealed , and Jin Guangyoa part in what had really happened sixteen years ago.

The gods were especially happy and excited when Wei Wuxian finally confessed his love for Lan Wangji. They celebrated, but their celebration was short-lived because not long things took a sudden turn for the worst. With sect leader Jiang still being resentful and angry towards Wei Wuxian and the discovery of who's golden core is really spining strongly inside him and Lan Xichen being salty and still held anger towards Wei Wuxian for stringing is brother along while tramping on his feelings.

Jin Guangyoa took advantage of that and turned the tides once again in his favor. Using the two to exact revenge once again. Everything happened at once and in the blink of an eye. Wei Wuxian found himself staring at both Lan Xichen and Jiang Cheng 's swords, aiming at his throat and heart. Jin Guangyao had expertly trapped Wen Ning inside a confinement array to keep him from coming to Wei Wuxian rescue.

Lan Wangji got angry when he saw what was happening, but before he could respond or do anything, both Lan Xichen and Jiang Cheng stabbed Wei Wuxian. One sword through his throat and the other through his heart. He dies instantly. Jin Ling was screaming and crying while Nie Huaisang looked on horror and shock. Wen Ning tried everything to free himself but to no avail.

Lan Wangji for the first time in his life, screamed out in pain and despair as bitchen fell from his hand as he fell to his knees and picked up the liveless body of his soulmate and cradle it close to his chest. Tears were streaming down his face, and Shu She took this opportunity and drove his own sword through the heart of the man he hated the most. Lan Wangji died while holding his dead soulmates' body in his arms. His dead body slumped over that of Wei Wuxian.

Screams of horror and pain could be heard as a stunned and shocked Lan Xichen, Jin Guangyoa, Jin Ling, and  Wen Ning looked at their dead bodies and then time froze. Everything was suspended, and nothing moved for a few times before time slowly started to rewind.

But in the end, not even death wanted the two. The gods were furious because they were not suppose to die, so they rewind time to the exact time to when the two had met the first time, remembering everything that had happened but they were not the only one. The gods made sure that the whole cultivation world would also remember.

But even though time was reversed, changes were made. The cultivation world might have feared Wen Rouhan, but it will not be him they will fear this time around, but two young men whom the gods now favored.

Wei Ying will be 20 and Lan Zhan 23.

Wei Ying and Lan Zhan's appearances would also be very different, and believe me, it will be a shock to everyone.

Everyone who died during the war will also be alive, and even those who died after the war so that I could just kill them again.

How will the cultivation world react when they find themselves back some years later in the past.

This will be a very short story with maybe four or five chapters at most. There will be no war in this story. This will be a straight on revenge story.

Wei Wuxian will have a new golden core and can still cultivate resentful energy.
