Deans pov:
"Have you eaten?" The question comes as a surprise to my brothers and even myself. I'm not the compassionate type, the one who asked if you're okay or if you need anything. I usually don't care if someone has eaten a mountain or if they're starving themselves.

"Not since breakfast." She replies, "why?" I contemplate why in my head. I didn't really think about it before the question came out. Luckily I'm a quick thinker, "you made a lot a food, so I figured if you wanted you could eat with me." I waited for a reply. I knew she would come up with an excuse to leave. No way someone like her would want to eat with me, but i figured might as well give it a shot.

I continue to eat the food, simultaneously hiding my disappointment from the inevitable rejection. "I would love to!" She says with excitement. Excitement? My head shoots up the shocked look not only on me but on my brothers who I just remembered were beside me.

"You actually want to eat with him?" Hawk says. I had gotten used to my brothers making backhanded comments toward me, so the insult didn't really register In the moment.

"Of course I would, why?" She said turning her gaze to him, eyes furrowed with a look of Distaste. Like she picked up on his insult and is offended for me. Her cold gaze on him makes Hawk shutter and lower his head as he speaks.

"Well, it's just that usually people try to stay away from him especially wemon" he says his voice timider than it probably ever has been. "So you're saying the reason you're shocked is because nobody else has done it, sit and have lunch with him. I don't know about you but that sounds lonely as hell."

Nobody argued, nobody said a thing they just watched as she stared at Hawk with a glare that could make you shit yourself.

She finally returned her gaze back to me and as she did, her lethal glare turned into a heartfelt smile. She slid past the front of me and stood in front of Nick who was sitting beside me. "I'm sorry ,but do you mind if I sit there please?" "Not at all" Nick replied with a smirk as he slid down the couch to let her sit. "Thank you"she said with a nod and a smile towards him.

She reached over and grabbed the chicken broccoli Alfredo and some more sliced fruit and handed it to my brother. " you can have this if you like. Sorry I only brought one drink for him, I wasn't expecting all of you to be here or I would've brought more food as well." She said with a curt smile.

"You are an angel sent from heaven," my brother says with an exasperated tone, " I love Alfredo.". I can't help but glare at my brother, I know I will never get a chance with Ava but that doesn't mean I want Nick trying his little charm tactics to try to take her to his bed.

He notices my glare and reads it perfectly. "Don't worry bro, she's too scary for me" he says with a laugh, Ava had already started eating the salad so at his words she stops mid bite. "I'm not scary." She says with actual innocence on her face like she has no idea how terrifying she is.

"Your right," Nick says " your straight nightmare fuel" Nick says matter of fact.

"Am not."

"Are too."

"Am not."

"Are too."

"Am not."

They bicker like children. In unison Nick, me, and the other members sitting with us all say "Are too.". That seams to drive the point home as she shuts up after that, stuffing her face with more salad.

After a minute of eating and chatting Ava looks to me and asks "so are you and him actual brothers?" Pointing to Nick. "We are." Excitement blooms on her face, "I knew it, you guys look similar." Nick scoffs, "don't insult me, I'm much handsomer than that brute."

We hear Ava scoff back, "you wish." She mumbles. Her eyes widened and her hand snaps over her mouth. Her gaze shifts to me and the blush across her face tells me she did not mean to say that out loud. I feel my cheeks heat as well as I look away from her. Is she saying she finds me more attractive than my brother. I mean don't get me wrong, I don't think of myself as ugly by no means, but with my brother's charms and open personality he has always gotten more attention from wemon. I usually only appeal to the crazy bitches who like the idea of being dominated by the giant psycho. My brother smirks, looking between me and Ava.

We continue eating everyone talking and chatting. Well except me. I only spoke when spoken to by Ava or my brother. Mostly Ava though.

By the time we look to check the time it's been 2 hours. "Man, I should probably be heading home." Ava says with a sigh. I can't help but feel the disappointment as she gets up to leave. I don't want her to leave yet. I want to keep talking to her. Dammit. "Let me walk you out." I stand and walk her through the front door of the bar after she says bye to Nick and all the guys.

"I had a lot of fun, you and your friends are cool." She says as we walk, a wide smile on her face. "They aren't my friends." I didn't mean to sound so cruel but it's true. They're my club brothers I would dye for them, but I none of them would consider themselves my friends.

Her face softens and she places her hand on my forearm. Usually I would shove someone away if they ever touched me like this. I feel revolted by the touch of others. But her touch, her hand on me. I'm not disgusted at all, in fact...I want more. I want her to touch me more.

We reach her truck, she says goodbye, and she drives off. I know I will probably not see her again and I hate it. She brought me lunch cause she felt bad. Now that she's gone she has no reason to comeback. I sigh and head back inside the bar.

I take my seat back at the couches and the members Sease conversation and look at me intently. "What?" I say with annoyance. "So that's her?" Hawk says, "she's gorgeous." I send him a warning growl. "You don't have to worry beast," another brother says laughing "did you see how she looked at hawk, he wouldn't have a chance." "Exactly, no threat here, I felt like I was about to piss my self, drifter wasn't kidding about your women being terrifying." Hawk says.

I snap my head up to my brother who is smirking at me in his usual cocky manner. "She's not my woman." I say, but as I say the words I feel a sharp pain in my chest.

Nick looks at me knowingly as he says

"Not yet."
