"teru? why are you waiting for me? we haven't walked home together since i joined thisschool, y'know, so your fan girls won't get me! shit! what if they see us!"i hid behind him,looking cautiously around our surroundings.
"shut up, zuki." he scoffed.
"hey! i haven't heard that nickname in ages!"
"no, but seriously, what's up? you're starting to worry me. like all of this? out of nowhere?" i glanced up to him. he's taller than i remember! i remember when i was taller than him! that was hilarious! i would tease him for hours!
"i was still here due to a student council meeting. what about you?" teru asked. "eh, i just fell asleep in an old classroom on accident! you know me, barely getting a wink during the night and becoming the next sleeping beauty during class!" i lied. it seemed believable, to me at least. i started paying attention to where we were walking. "hey! my house is that way!" i yelled.
"i asked your mom if you could sleep over at my house. like old times, remember? you would always beg our moms for sleepovers because you didn't want to stop playing." teru reminisced.
"awh, the good old days! we would either pretend to a rob a bank or be dinosaurs! stop, we were literally so cute back then! then i would read to you all my favorite books, and you would tell scary stories when it was getting dark! those actually scared me, honestly!" i laughed. oh, how i missed that.
"wait- what am i gonna wear? i don't have anything with me! SHIT- I DON'T EVEN HAVE A TOOTHBRUSH! TERU! WHAT AM I GONNA DO-" teru placed his his hands on my shoulders.
"you can just wear some of my clothes, and i have spare toothbrushes. don't stress." he explained. "okay! problem solved!" i winked jokingly at him. he laughed and we continued walking to his house.
"wait, how are kou and tiara? i can't wait to see how much they've grown! tiara was just a little girl last time i saw her! how long has it been, like, two years?! i'm just so excited!" tiara is SO freaking adorable. i miss her so much.
"i am too. we haven't hung out in a while, just the two of us." teru smiled. "I KNOW! if only your creepy fangirls weren't so crazy. if we'd hung out, i'd probably have a whole hate club against me!"
we had finally reached his house. oh, how i'd missed this place. it always felt so warm and cozy. "look! the swing set we'd always use to pretend we were flying! oh- and the pond we would put rubber ducks in!" i exclaimed. i ran around, taking in all of those happy memories.
