Anna's POV
We kept walking towards the street filled walkers. Rapunzel was a little blonde speck behind and the walkers were well......walking.
We should not have left Punzie. She's the weakest and we left her with a frying pan. I should have stuck up for her. Forced them to bring her along. Seriously, how's a frying pan gonna protect her from people who are trying to eat her! Gosh, she's so generous she'd probably break off her arm and give it to them before smacking them with a frying pan.
"Why are we getting closer to them?" I whispered to Ariel who was walking beside me. She gripped her knife harder and muttered something I didn't understand.
Pocahontas stopped and held her hand out to us. Belle pointed to a hideous painted building. It had large glass windows on both sides of the glass door, and a long red strip of red "paint" as if a bleeding person leaned against the wall as they walked. Aurora slapped the back of Belle's head with disapproval.
"You left her in a store with glass walls?" I asked. Belle nodded, you could see the guilt shimmering in her eyes.
She shifted her weight on one foot. "She wanted to stay. Something about finding answers. Plus her foot was sore and said she'd slow us down"
Pocahontas pulled out her sword with a metallic zing. "Let's roll"
I grabbed Pocahontas's arm. Her stare was like fire that bore into my eyes. She apparently doesn't like to be touched.
"We can't seriously be going in there. Don't you see the walkers practically guarding that building?"
Pocahontas sighed. "They're attracted to noise. The car alarm will distract them."
"Plus it's not like we'll stroll through the front door yelling 'honey I'm home'" Belle added as she grabbed her arrow and placed it on her bow.
Ariel tilted her head. Her eyes focused on something behind me. Taking it as a warning I turned and high kicked. I fell on my butt when my foot swooshed clean through the air. Ouch. Nothing was there.
There was a walker on the ground. It's teeth bared and holes throughout its arm like a squirrel has eaten chunks of its skin, worst of all half of its body was squished flat into the ground. From the looks of it a car ran over the beast. How repulsive. The beans from yesterday shot up my throat and I puked everything up.
"It's Cin's slipper!" Ariel chirped as she pulled a blood stained glass slipper out of the walker's stomach. The dark shades of red and black dripped from the heel like thick fruit punch. I turned to puke again only to have my head yanked up from my braids.
"Stop puking! The walkers will smell it soon and come running here" Aurora hissed. Neck......cramping.....
"Okay okay!" I cried out.
Ariel walked over and lightly rubbed the back of my head. "Easy Aurora she's not a doll! You can't just yank her around like that. I don't think those things can run either." Aurora grabbed the slipper and looked around.
I slowly stood and dusted imaginary dirt off me. The girls were all murmuring on how Cinder lost her slipper. This Cinderella must have been crazy for running around in glass slippers.
"There!" I pointed to a nearby car. She must've run out while the Walkers were preoccupied with the loud car. The door was wide open and a shoe-sized hole was in the center of the window.
"Okay ladies, let's go in" Pocahontas said raising her sword in the air. We followed Pocahontas who easily opened the glass door. As she opened it a loud ding seemed to reverberate through the city buildings. Nearby walkers turned to us, their yellow-green eyes wild with hunger at the sight. We ran in and shut the door behind us before going through the second set of glass doors.
"Cin!" Belle and Aurora yelled, nearly bursting my ear drums. There was a vending machine that has been raided, clothes, and jewelry.
We all separated searching high and low for Cinderella. Wherever she could be. The other girls found a back door with creaky wooden stairs. As I began to walk up Ariel's urgent tone froze me in the spot.
"Anna....come here...." I made a beeline to her and saw her inspecting a sky blue shirt. Her blue eyes went from me to the shirt and back to me her eyes widening at every glance.
"What?"
She turned the shirt to me and my world went wheeling. "Why are you on this shirt?" She asked her high voice trembling. I scanned the shirt, everything around me whirling. I was on the shirt. Me. It had my freckles, green eyes, braids and the white strip. But what made me more confused was that Elsa was on the shirt but at the same time she just looked...different. Her hair was the same braided platinum blonde but her
blue dress was...sparkly. Elsa hated sparkley things especially on her clothes. But it was definitely her... It showed her using her ice powers. A white snowflake was hovering over her extended fingertip.
I yanked the shirt from her grip. "Where did you get this? How did me and my sister get on here?"
Ariel pointed to a very bright sign with cursive letters "the Disney section" she murmured. Disney....Disney...
"That sounds an awful lot like Disflict which is the name of our planet" I murmured as Ariel rummaged through clothes and shelves. Her gasp was high and sharp as she yanked out a white shirt. A few hangared clothes fell in a puddle around our feet. None of those clothes bothered me when I saw a flawless image of Ariel painted on the white shirt. Her mouth opened and closed like a fish. Which is funny because she was a fis- never mind.
The floorboards rattled above us and the shouts of girls was muffled from upstairs. Grabbing a plastic bag me and Ariel stuffed it with some shirts and a book named "Princesses of Disney." We dashed upstairs towards the cluster of girls trying to break down a wooden door.
"What's happening?" Ariel called out
"The door! I think something's blocking it!" Someone shouted.
I dropped the bags and helped them by punching and slapping the wooden door.
"Okay okay stand back" I shouted. "Cinderella if you can hear me get away from the door!"
I balanced on one leg and kicked my other super hard against the door. Good thing I was wearing somewhat bulky shoes since I visited the graveyard before we got here. I froze mid kick since the thought of Elsa's gravestone startled me.
"Anna?"
I kicked one last time and fell backwards into Belle who nearly stumbled down the steps. Ariel grabbed both of our arms and yanked us upwards. Belle grunted in thanks and I put my arm around her to show my gratitude.
The stairwell seemed to light up after the door broke open. We all seemed to sag against the wall, panting hard from the effort in opening the door. Goodness a wooden door wore us out! Our break ended short when we heard the most dreadful sound. Snarling and moaning. Although everyone knew what that meant, none of them wanted to accept it.
"CIN!" Aurora cried out first as she ran into the room. Everyone followed, faces pulled down in sad smiles. Sobs immediately followed their entrance. Ariel fell straight on her knees, hands covering her mouth and nose, and tears cascading to the floor.
