I was rather thrilled than angry. An attack on the king, on the night of corononation. so here we are, on the first day in this throne room as a king, discussing over the attack.
" very brave" i sniffled a laugh. the throne looks at me puzzeled. The silence was deep in the room, ministers sitting in their places with their heads hung down.
i heard the footsteps approaching, the great door opened with a loud creak and entered Captain Gilliot with his men.
walking till the stairs, they bowed.
" your highness, " Captain Gilliot stepped forward.
" how are you managing around the palace Gilliot?"
" the security has been up-tight all night, your majesty. Guards are on stand around every corner. borders of the kingdom are ceased and all the people are awared on all about this."
" good. very good. but i see from the look on your face that there's more to it, hmm Gilliot? " his face crippled in discomfort.
"uh... on our night round, your majesty, we came across Lord Ozer in the restricted section of jungle. to be accurate, near the borders"
"Lord Ozer?" i frowned. he is a noble man, most noble in the palace. he was one of the trusted man by my father. " what has he got to say about this?"
"he stayed quiet, your highness"
"BETRAYAL, IT IS !" minister carlos boomed. " as a earl, he is using his powers, your highness. we can't let him off the hook this time"
" calm ! " i ordered. " what do you mean by 'this time' "
" he was once suspected for roaming in restricted areas of palace, late king hadrien let him off "
" but he was proved not guilty, minister carlos, you can't forget his nobility and status in this palace. we would appreciate it if you mind your words." Duke Ezel chimned in.
If the harm was really executed by him...
by the most trusted man and it cannot be surprising.
