Aviva:

These past days, i have had a frown settled on my face constantly. i am somewhere in a dungeon, behind the bars. i would have been thrilled and excited if the situation was a bit better.i wouldn't have believed myself if i told that i met the king of avistara himself, right in this dungeon. And again it would have been better if the situation was a bit better.

never in my life have i been so confused as i was when we asked me the same questions repeatedly.

" i suspect, you have got something to do with the attack"

" tell me, is there anyone else behind this?"

" who sent you?"

" you aren't a citizen of Avistara, how did you cross the border ?"

i swear on my life, i tried my best to answer him with everything i knew. i could answer few of his questions but he still looked displeased.

"who are you?"

" how are you related to ozer?"

" was he behind the attack too?"

now it must have been 3 days, the only way to know the time is when food is distributed. i realised soon that i wasn't alone here, there were many men behind the bars, just like me.

i didn't like it, staying here alone felt uncomfortable. i missed father. is that why he always told me to stay inside? if i got to get out of here, i would listen to him.

i am sitting in the corner, still thinking about what he wanted to know. maybe if i remembered something, it could help him and i would be out of here.

while i was in my thoughts, suddenly i heard a rough clanking noise. i quickly looked up to see a guard rattling my cell with his stick.

" eat up, don't be dramatic. you got lucky that he didn't use his ways to get what he wanted from you" he said pointing at the plate which has been sitting there since morning.

Without uttering a word, I got up and took the dish with me back to my corner. It was just plain rice, that's what I am surviving on these days. I won't complain though, atleast I am not held starving.

Just as I was going to take my first bite, I heard the voice of that person I was desperately needed. My father, he was here. He will take me back with him. Hopefully, I got up and ran towards the bars.

One look at him was enough to have my eyes swelled up. The guards guided him forward, his eyes stayed down and his clothes were all bloody and torn.

A sob tore out of me as I took him in. My crying must have gotten his attention, he looked up and paused. A guard pushed him forward and he grunted in pain.

At that moment all I wanted to was run up in his arms. Treat him till he is all better.

" Dad... Someone please, he needs help." I cried to the guards. The dungeon was silent and if i wouldn't have been so disturbed i would have noticed all the prisoners watching our interaction.

The guards ignored my pleas and put him in the cell before mine.

Every now and then i begged the people to treat him with medicine but none paid attention to me. My father stayed silent in his cells.

Then I heard few more voices coming closer. As i recognised one of it, i backed away from the bars. I was so scared, i didn't understand any of this and I didn't like it. I felt overwhelming, i didn't know how to do things right.

The anger the king felt towards me makes me doubt he would tolerate me much further. Looking at my dad, if it's going to be my turn now.

"you got lucky that he didn't use his ways to get what he wanted"

If only there was a way to get this to end without anyone hurting...
