Like 10 minutes ago, trevor and i arrived at the arena and i was waiting in the car. "yknow you don't have to go in." trevor says. "i'm not giving him that power, let's go." i say.
i go to my seat, which happens to be beside the penalty box of the rangers, i was going to get up and leave but i saw someone. this girl i go to school with, her name is annabelle. "annabelle?" i ask. "omg hi gigi, what are you doing here!" she says, "my friend is on the ducks." i reply before sitting down beside her.
we're talking for a bit, warmups start. i see trevor come up to the glass and give me a puck. i smile at him and when i do i see matt behind him looking very mad. every time trevor skates past, he smiles at me. i see matt starting to get mad, and i was talking to annabelle when matt shoves trevor super hard to the point of him getting a penalty.
i look over at matt and he's already looking at me. i see him mouth something but i don't even bother to figure it out before turning my head away. shortly after he left the box, he was back in. he mouths something again and i turn away again. he leaves the box and goes on the ice just to fight some guy, he wouldn't stop when the refs told him too so he got ejected.
the ducks won and after the game i was waiting at the locker rooms for trevor, i was on my phone till i heard the door open. me thinking it was trevor i look up, it wasn't.
"please talk to me ev." matt says. "i told you, it's evangeline to you." i reply coldly. "okay okay, just please listen to me." matt begs. trevor walks out of the locker room and hugs me and kisses the top of my head. "hey, you okay?" he asks looking at matt. "i'm fine, can you give me a minute?" i ask him, "yea i'll just wait by the car." he tells me.
"you have 5 minutes, use your time wisely." i tell matt.
"okay, first of all i am so so so sorry, i was thinking super hard about how much i like you and how i wanted to ask you out and i just completely psyched myself out. i thought i was to bad for you, with all the fighting and shit because i don't wanna be bad for you, and after i told myself i wasn't good enough for you, i blocked you. after that i called my sister and told her everything and she told me i was an idiot and to talk to you but when i went to message you, you had blocked me too. i was super like depressed for 2 weeks and when you posted trevor i was just super mad so that's why i asked if you were fucking. and i'm super super sorry, i understand if you never want to speak to me again." matt tells me.
"oh..." i say. "yea...oh" he replies.
"i f-forgive you." i say hesitantly. "what?" he asks. "i forgive you, i mean...yea at first i was heartbroken but when you explained it all, it made sense to me." i tell him. "heartbroken...i never meant-" matt's says before i cut him off with a hug. i let go. "it's okay, i just don't want this to ever happen again. if you need to talk, im here." i tell him. "i lost you once, i won't lose you again ev." he tells me
"i- trevors waiting for me...." i say. "okay well do you think you can unblock me?" matt says chuckling. i unblock him
trevor drops me off at my hotel and i see matt texted me.
