chalter 8 (re-do)

karas POV

the mall was so much fun. I love my girls, but damn. Michele is so amazing.

he's so sweet.

and hot.

at the mall, he said that he wanted to take me on a real date not just out with some friends at a party or whatever.

after the mall I needed some alone time. after the party and everything I've been busy with my friends and I just needed a walk by myself. classes would be starting up soon and that's really gonna suck.

as I was walking, I saw a girl sitting on a bench on her phone. but she looked so familiar...

"is your name Ashly?" I asked her.

"uh... wait.. OH MY GOD KARA!" yelled Ashly. she jumped right up and gave me a hug. I remember her, she was one of Layla's friends and we would stick together at whatever parties or outings we had with layla.

"I had no idea you were coming to OSU, why didn't layla know?" I asked her, very surprised that we didn't know about her being here.

"oh well we i kinda lost touch after I moved. I was gunna go to Indiana university but I transferred here. it was pretty last minuet." Ashly explained.

"well that's great! layla and Jaz are here too! and we met these great guys oh I have the perfect one for you!!" I giggled. I couldn't wait to set up Ashly with Calum, they'd be perfect together. just the thought of them makes my heart melt.

calums POV

"hey meet me at my room in 2 hours I got the perf girl for u" said karas text.

"gotcha" I replied.

what is it with girls and setting up their friends?

oh well I just hope she's as great as Kara says she is.

it's been an hour and I'm freaking out. I really wanna impress this girl because honestly I'm kinda tired of being the only one of the guys without a girl.

my room is trashed with cloths and I finally give up and call Ashton.

"hey man what's going on?" Ashton says into the phone.
"look Kara set me up on a date with a girl I really need your help." I told him, trying to not sound as worried as I really am.
"got it I'm on my way over." he replied.

as I wait for Ashton I sit on my bed and run my hands through my hair constantly thinking about what to say to her and imagining what shes gunna be like.

finally Ashton comes in with his eyes all big and a smile on his face.
"what's going on with you? I asked him.
Ashton seemed to snap out of his day dream as soon as I started speaking to him.
"oh.. uh.. hey yeah what do you need help with?" he seemed to switch moods immediately, but I just let it go.
"I have a date today." I told him again. something important must've happened bc he always seems ready to go.

Ashton nods his head and walks over to my drawer and starts pulling out a bunch of things. he rummages through my many black shirts until he finds one an older worn looking black v neck shirt and he throws it at me, followed by dark jeans and a pair of grey converse. he then nods at me and leaves.

I put on the outfit and fix my hair and then text Kara that I'm ready and she told me to come to room 257.

Ashley's POV

I'm terrified. I know that Kara has good taste, but that's what I'm worried about. what if he's too good for me? oh god I'm a mess...

I had Kara help me pick out an outfit. she told me to wear dark blue jean shorts and a white floral tank top that showed a bit of my stomach. she also had me wear some simple silver bracelets and grey vans.

I heard a knock on the door and I swear my heart stopped. I couldn't wait to meet him!

I opened the door and saw a tall tan boy with dark hair standing in front of me. he's so cute.

"hhh..hi." I manage to squeeze out a word and a little wave.

"hi. I'm calm." he said to me. o almost fell to the floor his voice is so cute.

"I'm Ashly." I said back with a smile.

"is Panera good?" he asks me. I can tell he's scared I'll say no.

"Panera is great." I say to him. a smile appears on his face.

the car ride was pretty awkward but once we got to Panera it was fine.

we ordered our food and found a seat. Calum sat across from me and we just talked about collage and life. he's a softmore and he plays the guitar. I told that I've always wanted to play guitar but never really got around to it. but he said he would teach me and I thought that was just adorable. 

"ya know I think you're really beautiful." Calum told me after a little bit.
"thank you. I think you're really cute too by the way." I said. I can tell my cheeks look like tomatoes right now.

When we were done with our food we hopped back into Calums car and drive off.

"hey umm.. never mind." Calum said, clearly frustrated with himself.
"what is it?" I asked him. now I'm dying to know what he was saying.
"oh umm I was gunna ask if you maybe wanna come over for a bit? Ashton is out with Layla so he won't be there." he asked me all flustered.
"I'd love to go over." I said to him smiling and I grabbed his hand. he smiled back at me.
