I woke up gasping with cold sweat trickling down the side of my forehead. “Just a dream” I muttered to myself. Looking around the room in realization that I'm back in Five's room tucked into his bed. I heard fighting downstairs making me go down, it seemed like it was a heated argument.
“You tried to rumor Fiona?” a familiar voice asked.
“I had no choice!” a voice replied back.
“You have no right to rumor her” Five argued. “It was my choice to follow her that day,” he added.
“Who is she to you? Why do you keep protecting her?” Luther asked.
“She's someone, who actually loves me and cares for me, unlike the rest of you” he seared through his teeth before turning around, he came to a halt seeing me there. He marched right up to and grabbed me by the wrist as he led me back to his room.
“I'm sorry” I apologized, lowering my head.
“There's no reason for you to apologize Fiona” he stated before taking a seat next to me on his bed.
“All of your siblings are mad because I almost killed you” I replied.
“They can be mad for however long they want” he started. “I was also thinking you already quit from working at the Commision and I was surprised Handler didn't try and kill you yet but I guess I know why” he chuckled as he fell silent.
“If it weren't for my father, I wouldn't have been working at the Commision but my dad forced me to” I sighed.
“I'm guessing your mother also worked at the Commission?” he questioned.
“You got that right, dad also forced mom to work there and coincidentally enough, the night when mom quit working from the Commission was the night she was tortured and murdered” I said slowly trying to open up to Five.
“And, when Handler tortured me I realized, that was what she felt when she was tortured, it hurt everywhere” I sighed.
“So, I can't quit working there Five, hell knows what she'll do to you and the others” I stated.
“I won't force you to quit, I'll just talk to them and it's their choice to accept it or not” he reassured, I smiled before absent-mindedly pulled him into a hug, he hesitated for a bit before hugging me back tightly.
“You really changed so much Five, the anger in your eyes disappeared” I muttered making him laugh.
“You also changed too Fiona” he started. “You tried to open up to me” he smiled before I pulled away from him.
“I still hate you though” I joked as we both chuckled.
“We both know you don't” he replied before pulling me back to a hug again.Five talked with his siblings for the evening stating it was his fault. Most forgave me and some didn't. “Want it or not, don't ever rumor Fiona again” Five warned Allison as she just rolled her eyes and walked away.
“You didn't need to do that Five, they can forgive me when they want to” I said to Five.
“No,” he said bluntly.————————————————————⛱——————————————————
Five offered to take me out that night to take my mind off things. “Five I don't think I should” I sighed as he offered me a drink.
“You just survived another mission, both of us. So I think the only acceptable thing to do after is to get fucked up, right?” he exclaimed, sliding the drink closer to me.
“Fine” I finally gave in as I took a sip from my drink. We both drank heavily that night with Five having to drink more than what he should.
“Geez Five, when you say get fucked up I didn't literally mean get fucked up” I sighed as I stared down at his sleeping figure. In a touch, we both landed back into his room with Five already tucked into his bed. “Goodnight Five” I muttered to him as I placed a kiss on his forehead before walking away.
