I looked to my right and saw him. tight, curly, blonde hair and perfect blue eyes, the prettiest smile as the screen lit up his face.
I glanced over his shoulder and saw her sitting on the floor with her evenly braided, dark hair. soft curves at the edges of her mouth. gorgeous chocolate-milky skin, smooth as melting ice.
my eyes flitted to the indirect left of me. his dark beady eyes somehow radiating peace, and wavy brown hair almost long enough to tuck behind his ears. his curious expression turned to me and smiled with a hint of confusion.
he raised his eyebrows slightly, silently asking if I was alright. I nodded and smiled back. our focus turned in sync back to the flat t.v. in front of us.
I felt comfortable here, with them. like I was home. even though home was several hundred miles away. I leaned onto him and I felt his coily tuft brush against my ear. I felt his eyes on me but I kept mine set in front of me. after limited hesitation, he laid his arm around my shoulders and I tucked myself closer to his warmth. I couldn't focus on the movie before me, my thoughts were solely on my happiness.
I closed my eyes in bliss. I squeeze them shut now. I finally open them and look around the so familiar room. another one. it was always the hardest waking up and remembering my life. dreams could be so nice.
