TRUST EXERCISES

(This chapter is being edited)It was even more crowded then usual, the tea shop. Much more crowded than when Alastor and Lucifer visited not so long ago. But there were a different type of customers this time. Not in the fancy attire such as last time, not with the manners, or even a slight of niceness. It was Imps, sinners, hellhound, and barely a cannibal in sight. "My heavens! I would've never expected such a display." Alastor cocked his head to the side with a slight chuckle leaving his lips. A worried expression weighed over Lucifer's face. "Uh... I guess they saw the news this morning?."
Before Lucifer knew it, tentacles raised out of the ground slamming citizens into the floor. Killing them all off. "How marvelous!" He put his hands on his cane. "Uh...-" Lucifer looked around the room. "Alastor! My favorite overlord!" A tall demon overlord stood infront of them. "Rosie! How are you, my friend?~" Alastor greeted her. "I'm swell! I see ya' brought the king here! Where are my manners?" She chuckled before bowing. "It's a pleasure! I take it you two saw the news?" Rosie asked. "Ah yes! A simple mistake it was." Alastor peered.
Rosie nodded along. "Uhh.. do you maybe know where the one waitress with long white hair is?." Lucifer awkwardly questioned. "Check behind the counter! She may be in the kitchen." Rosie told the two men. "Thanks, uh.. posie?" Lucifer grabbed Alastor's wrist and dragged him to the kitchen.
They searched through the kitchen quickly. "Shit! She's not here." Lucifer sighed. "Why, we'll just have to check the rest of cannibal town, not a problem!" The radio demon said. Lucifer groaned in disappointment. "I guess..."
Hours had passed of searching. Entering every shop, asking even resident. It was useless. The demon they needed to find was gone from Cannibal town, completely. Lucifer's hope was lost, instead of being disappointed he was straight up frustrated. "This is so stupid!" He groaned, as he sat on a public bench with his head back. "How have we not found her yet!?" He opened his phone and checked the time. "It's already 8pm. It's getting dark... This is hopeless!" He complained as Alastor carelessly watched. "Ah, it has just occurred to me! I know exactly where the soul we're looking for is." Alastor chimed in a slight hum. "Seriously?!" Lucifer tugged on Alastor's sleeve. The radio demon's shadow peered over him. "I suppose I could lead you!" Alastor's grin widened, almost in a sadistic lighting. "A..Alright then.. let's go." Lucifer took Alastor's hand as he led the way.
A couple minutes of walking passed til they found themselves in front of the Hazbin hotel. "Are you joking?!." Lucifer winced. "I'm afraid I must've gotten lost! Silly me.~" Alastor spoke through his cane. "Is this all a joke to you?!" Lucifer's eyes started to water. "Whats the big deal, my friend!" He asked. "I have a wife, who knows where! And if she saw the news she probably thinks I'm cheating a-and there's Charlie, I.." Lucifer choked. Alastor placed his hand on Lucifer's shoulder. "Fret not my good sir! It'll all be just fine." He spoke through his grinning teeth. "Dad? Al?" Charlie asked, through the opened door to the hotel entrance.
Lucifer quickly looked towards Charlie. "Char char!" The king swiftly wiped his eyes. "Heyyy!. Are you two alright?" The princess asked. "We're just fine, my love! Not a reason to worry." Alastor reassured Charlie. "Okay! That's good, I was just wondering, hahaa!" Charlie grinned before shutting the door. "Don't call my daughter that.." Lucifer squinted at Alastor. "Ah! Does it get under the king's skin?" Alastor's fingers crawled up Lucifer's Arm. Sending slight waves through the king's back. "Relax, my friend! It's no different than calling any soul, my love, there is not a meaning behind such words!" He placed his hands on his cane and turned the other way.
Lucifer watched as Alastor started to walk into to hotel before coming to a stop, "Just a reminder, my king, you're royalty, No? I'd advise using it to your advantage, hm?~" He spoke in his usual static like voice before entering the hotel. He was right. Lucifer knew it.
Two large and fluffy wings covered in feathers sprouted from his back, lifting Lucifer into the air. "Right so... where's that news station?." Lucifer asked himself before flying off into hell. It took a while, and he was constantly flashed by cameras. But in the end, he made it.
Lucifer stared at the two big doors in front of him. Behind them he could hear a mix of static and shouting. Hesitantly the king opened the door. Quickly met with an arrange of faces that darted facing towards him. He tucked his head into his shoulders awkwardly as his eyes met with the familiar TV like overlord. Vox. "Shit! Fucking shit!" A grin stretched onto his face. Katie Killjoy, the reporter on TV, rolled her eyes. "Finally, someone can get this prick out of my hands!" She insulted, poking at the TV like sinner's chest.
Vox quickly ran up to Lucifer with his arms slightly raised out on each side, stepping with a stomp in each patter. "Hah! You're actually here!? My luck! I thought I saw you on my cameras!" Vox loomed over Lucifer. "Uhh... who are you?" The king cluelessly asked. Vox paused. An overwhelming feeling of being humbled drowned over him. "I'm uh, Vox?" Lucifer slowly nodded. "The leader of the Vees?." The overlord spoke awkwardly. "Shit, I'm an overlord! A big deal basically!" Vox rolled his hand around in the air as he spoke. "Riiiight... what do you.. want?" Lucifer looked behind Vox. "Oh! Uh, well. How about we take this back to the V' tower?" The TV head spoke. "I'm busy, sorry!" Lucifer walked right back him. "Fu-u-uck! Come on! How about once you're done?" Vox offered, pulling Lucifer back by her sleeve. "Uh? Okay." Lucifer tilted his head before tugging his arm back.
"Hey!" Lucifer shouted at a staff member assertively. "I'm looking for uh Sadie Billboy?" The king asked, with a slight tone of confusion. "Katie? Oh yeah. She's in the staff lounge, angry ova' sum' overlord or sum'." The Imp spoke in a country like accent. "Thanks!" Lucifer grinned nervously before walking off to find the staff lounge. He mumbled under his breath as he fought through the crowd of sinners. The king found himself in a hall, with a variety of doors labeled with a sign. Lucifer quickly came to a stop once his eyes wondered to 'staff lounge' plastered onto a concrete label hanging above a door. "Great!" He opened the door. Quickly coughing to the smell of a cigarette filling the room.
"Shit, it's you again? What do you want!" Katie spoke in her familiar voice.
