The wind creaked through Shelby's windows, seeping in like slime, cold enveloping her. She jolted awake, eyes darting frantically.
She groaned. She wasn't an insomniac, but god did her inability to sleep sometimes make her moody.
She got up, the cat sleeping on her feet protesting as she went to get a glass of water.
'Creak. Creak.'
She went downstairs, her hand sliding over the banister as she flicked on the lights.
She filled up a cup and leant on the countertop, gulping down the fresh, cool tap water. She pet her sleeping cat and climbed down to her chest room below to get a blanket.
Her hands nearly slipped on the railings as she felt a growing strand of ivy creep onto the top rail. She'd have to cut that soon.
The room was in progress, excavated but still muddy. Deja Vu rolled over her, as it always seemed to do.
The dirt walls were unsettling to say the least. She'd turned most of the roof into spruce wood, but the floors and walls were yet to be done. She'd get Fwhip and Oli to help her.
It seemed almost... tunnel-like in the darkness.
She nearly tripped over some random fungi growing. Amanita muscaria, though she had no idea how she knew that.
She grabbed her candle off her shelf. She definitely needed Pix to come help her build a lighting system for this room because the candlelight upon it was just darn creepy. She lit the candle.
Hunched over a chest in her room, picking the padlock upon it, was the woman.
The woman who had robbed Oli.
She froze, unsure what to do as the thief undid the lock with a click and began to put cherry blossoms in her bag.
She snapped out of her daze. 'OI!' She shouted at the cute- the dangerous and evil criminal.
The robber's eyes snapped towards her.
