It's the end of school finally. Jeremiah still be mad at me. For, I don't know. Was it me sticking up for myself or me moving.

I don't know but I'm kind of mad at him. He's just going to let his friends act like that and then get mad when I defend myself.

Anyways after math I had science with Blair. History with Blair and the guy from English. Then gym with practically everyone I know.

I walk out of school as everyone else does. I put my earbuds in and put on music. I get my phone and put on music. The song "The other side of the door" starts playing.

Just then I start to walk home. I know my mom said Jeremiah was supposed to drive me home but I don't want to ride with him right now.

As I walk home the same red familiar car pulls up. I see jere look at me.

"Get in." He says

"No." I walk away faster.

"Tara, what is up with you seriously. Is there something wrong? Are you seriously mad at me?" He questions and starts to get angry again

"Nope, just fine. Can you go, I'll see you at school." I give him a fake smile and turn back walking home.

"Fuck, fine Tara." He yells angrily and drives off.

I walk all the way the way to my house. It dosnt take that long to get there like around 30 minutes or more.

It's okay I don't mind. I need to walk more anyways. I arrive at my house and open the door.

I try to open it quietly hopefully not alerting my mom. But as I open it and walk in I see her.

She's siting at the staircase right by the door waiting for me.

"Tara we had an agreement. Gosh why did you walk home I told you you were riding with Jeremiah. Your so ungrateful the things I do for you."

"Im sorry mom but-

"No buts your lucky I don't hit you right now, now go get me some alcohol."
She cuts me off

"What do you mean, I can't I'm underage." I explain to her.

"I don't care, if you go to the one by your school and buy it they won't id you." She tells me. She then hands me a 100 dollar bill

I grab it and walk back out not wanting to wait for the consequences. I walk to the bar by school she was talking about.

As I walk there it's a quiet walk. There's not that much people.

But as I get to the lot it's full. I take a deep breath as I walk towards the door.

Thank God it's not like a club, just a chill bar I think.

I want to avoid everyone here so I just go up to the bartender.

"Hey there little lady, are you even old enough to drink?"

I look at him "yes I am I just turned 21 last week" I blurt our a lie. He narrows his eyes at me then I narrow mine back

"Fine, what would you like?" He asks me.

"Uhm... actually give me a second." I just realized I left without knowing what to get.

I pull out my phone to text her.

"What the fuck are you doing here?" A low, deep, familiar voice speaks from next to me.

I look up behind me and it's him. Mystery guy, the jerk from class. Uhm okay weird

"Me, why are you here, you work here or something?" I ask him

"That's none of your business sunshine, now why are you here?" He narrows his eyes at me as he talks in a cold tone.

"If that's none of my business, then it's certainly not yours of why I'm here." I say to him then turn facing my back towards him.

He spins me around, facing him. "You know your underage, right?"

"Your underage too." I say back

"Not the point, you shouldn't be here." He says then he grabs my arm pulling me to the door. "Out now."

"Hey! No you can't boss me around mister. I don't even know your name."

"Ryder." He says as he opens the door.

"Well Ryder im Tara and im not going to listen to you." I walk back to were I was originally.

"So you've said, now out" he says coldly

He grabs my arm again pulling me close to him.

"Just get out damn you dont belong here." He says.

"Your a jerk." I snap back at him

"I know now leave." He says as he pulls me back to the door.

"And if I don't?" I yank my arm from his grip and turn to look back at him.

" You don't belong here, now leave". He says in a demanding tone. His eyes look into mine with annoyance and something else

I might as well admit defeat there's no way he'd let me even go back to the counter. Ugh he's a headache like why do you even care.

"Fine, but not because you said. It's cause I want too and this isn't over Ryder." I push his shoulder as I walk past and leave.

I walk out of the door. Then I remember, fuck I need alcohol. How am I going to get it, I can't go into that place.

I look around at the shops. I see diners, stores, clothes shops...

Then I spot a place called "The Black dog" Then on the bottom of that sign it says "liquor, vapes, cigarettes and more"  the store looks kinda small, it has neutral colors and red for the signs.

Okay that seems okay I guess. It's across were I'm at. I start to walk over there. As I walk I go on my phone to ask what my mother wanted.

And just as I click her contact, my phone died. Perfect just perfect. I put my phone back in my purse.

I'm near the entrance, okay here goes nothing.

I walk into the place. It's small, liquor stocks the shelves in the back. Only like three people in here and the cashier.

I go to the back were the liquor is. She usually drinks this one kind, it's like vodka or something.

I search for it and then I spot it. I open the glass door reaching for it. I grab the bottle and carry it to the front.

I set it down on the counter. The cashier looks at me then at the drink.

"Harridan Vodka? That seems expensive for someone like you. Aren't you a little young for this". He questions

I scoff "someone like me? Someone like you shouldn't be asking so much questions so just do your job".

He gives me a dirty look and scans the bottle then says "60 dollars and 76 cents".

Ha that's what I thought. I give him the hundred dollar bill my mom gave me.

I bag it and leave.

Take that Ryder. Try and stop me again.
