3 years later~
Jungkook's confession, three years ago gave the beach a new meaning in their life. The ocean waves were the sole witness of their every high and low as a couple. Every moment they had celebrated or found their comfort here, on the beach was what had bonded them to be stronger, weaving their relationship into a stronger knot that even time couldn't loosen.
The waves took their late-night conversations to the ocean's depth, hidden away from the prying ears of the world. He patiently listened to her speak about the good, the bad and everything in between on that very beach, every time they had a date night there.
Since the beach held such an important spot in their relationship, it was no surprise that they chose it as their wedding venue. Today was the night before their marriage, the night before they'd finally be legally each other's, the night before they finally tie a knot together which would stand the fire and ice.
"I can't believe you are going to be my husband from tomorrow," she said, as she rested her head on his shoulders.
"I know right, all of this seems so unreal. I can't believe I got lucky enough to have you," Jungkook said, he held her hands and looked into her eyes.
"Kook, I love you"
"I love you, more"
The very anticipated next day came soon.
The beach looked beautiful, just the way they had imagined. An elevation on the ground, the side which would be behind the couple was decorated with pastel flowers matching the theme of the beach. The stage had a frame of white roses and orchids, through which one could see the ocean. The rest of the stage was decorated with greenery as white silk clothes flowed in the air giving a more magical vibe.
Overhead the seats for the guests was a thick white cloth protecting them from the sun without ruining the venue's aesthetic. It moved ever so slightly with the breeze.
Even the ocean seemed to have dressed up in glitters that day. The decorations and ocean all came together at the end to form one fantastic place for their unforgettable day.
Jungkook stood on the wooden elevation waiting for his bride, he was nervous and excited at the same time. The happiness he felt to stand there wearing his black suit with a white dress shirt, overlooking his close people was immeasurable. His eyes were waiting impatiently for the sight of his Bride.
The music started, and his heart started beating faster, at a distance he could see her walking hand in hand with her father, a man who held great respect in his eyes.
He forgot to breathe when he laid his eyes on her, she looked beautiful. Now, when reality dawned upon him, he felt overwhelmed with emotions, but mostly happiness. His eyes teared up at the sight of her and then, they locked their gaze.
She was walking ever so gracefully to him, her eyes focused on his figure with love. Oh, to the extent she could go for her love. He looked seriously handsome in that suit, and she fell for him deeper that day with every tear that left his eyes. When he smiled at her with tears in his eyes, she did the same.
The walk felt long, she just wanted to run into his arms and when she finally did reach the man she loved, her father wiped her tears, only then did she realise she was crying too. "Okay, love birds today is your day. Smile," her dad said, wiping Jungkook's tears too and the sight melted the audience.
"Jungkook, I am trusting you to keep her happy. If she ever cries because of you, it should only be happy tears," her dad whispered as he put her hand on his.
"I will keep her happy, Dad."
Her dad stepped off the wooden platform and went to her mother, who sat beside her best friend, Jungkook's mother. They both had tears in their eyes, looking at their children marry someone made them realise, they had grown up. No matter how happy they were for their children no one could prepare the parents for their big day.
The tears everyone had dried off with time. The atmosphere grew lighter and more fun. Aera was making fun of Jungkook and he was not one tad bit behind, In the end, they found peace in each other's embrace melting everyone's heart.
Now was the time for vows, Jungkook held Aera's hand.
"Aera, I promise to be the best man in your life, obviously apart from your father. You add meaning to my life and colour to my day. We've known each other for almost our whole life, and I am confident we'll continue to learn more about each other every passing moment. Aera, I promise to be a supporting husband and I promise to give you time every day, where you do the talking and I listen. I know how much you love to talk, baby. I promise to stick by your side through thick and thin. You will be making me the happiest man by being my wife today. I promise to wake up every day and tell you how much you mean to me and apologise after every fight because, you, my darling, are stubborn. With the blessings of our parents, I promise to be yours and only yours. I allow myself to be the happiest by accepting you as my wife, with the ocean waves as a witness."
With a lot of chuckles and a few tears, Aera accepted the wedding band from Jungkook as he finished speaking. Aera didn't realise it was possible to fall for this man any deeper until he said the vows. Aera took a deep breath.
"Jungkook, from today I'll be your wife and by accepting me as your wife you've made me happy, very much. I Kim Aera, promise to take you as my husband and stick by your side through thick and thin. I promise to hold you in your lowest and highest. Like we always did, I promise to continue solving our fights with a bottle of banana milk with an unkept promise never to fight again. I also promise to support and trust you as you support and trust me. Jungkook, thank you for teaching me how to love and how to accept love Thank you for all those nights where you stayed with me as I rant your ear off. Thank you for being there for me every time and I promise to do the same. I love you, Jungkook"
Jungkook smiled uncontrollably, knowing how much effort she put into her vows. Jungkook didn't forward his hand for Aera to put the ring yet, so she pulled his hands towards herself as she put on the wedding band making the audience laugh.
"You know she is a stubborn one, Jungkook"
They heard someone say it out loud in the crowd, the audience laughed louder
"That made me fall deeper for her, Jimin-ssi"
Aera grinned at his comment, sending him a wink.
"You may now kiss your bride," said Jin.
Everyone were teasing the couple, and Jungkook was enjoying it. The priest let out a small laugh at Jin and said, "Indeed, you may now kiss your bride."
Again, after three years they sealed yet another promise of staying by each other's side for a long, long time with a kiss. Jungkook pulled Aera into his embrace, their lips completing each other like a puzzle.
The moment was perfectly captured with a click of the camera, not so far away.
