you stared up at the wooden boarding of the bunk bed above you with blank, empty eyes and a bored thin line on your face. your hands were resting on your stomach, lightly holding your blankets in place as they covered your lower body from the coldness that had entered the room overnight.

your mind couldn't help but wander off to the conversation you had with armin last night. it's been relentlessly picking at you ever since, and even when you closed your eyes, you could see armins face engraved onto the back of your eyelids when the whole situation happened.

he seemed so genuine about it all, and knowing him, it all probably came from the truth.

but yet a part of you felt nervous. but why?

armin had said lots of things like those over the past few years of you both together, and you've never ever felt like how you felt right now. armins a sweet boy, and it was obvious you both care about each other.

maybe you're just overreacting.

"wakey-wakey..~!!"

sasha's loud greeting disturbed your peacefully weird thoughts, snapping you out of your embarrassment as you sighed. you watched as she crawled down from the top bunk on the two bunk beds you both shared, watching as she grinned at you happily.

"oh hey, it's you!" she comments, giving you a nod of acknowledgment. then, she inched closer to your bunk, kneeling down to match your level since you were still laying down.

"ive noticed we're always near each other. i think it's fate, so why not be friends right now!?" she suggested enthusiastically, her face brightening up with sheer happiness despite the confused look on her face.

"..what?" you whispered, your voice hoarse and raspy as a result of not talking or at least opening your lips ever since you woke up.

she took notice of your confusion and immediately sprung into another response. "oh? you're confused? well, that's okay! it's still early anyway, and everyone's still processing and waking up." she grins, flashing you her pearly whites while her eyes gleamed with enthusiasm.

"you already know me, and i already know you! i sense a connection between us, and im not gonna waste the time and lose the opportunity to be your friend, so let's be friends! right here, right now~!" she cheered.

..this reminds you a lot of the situation with armin wayyy back when he begged and kept on bothering to be your friend.

if you didn't know better, you would've dropped sasha right then and there. but like armin had said earlier, you had changed a lot ever since you both met.

as much as you didn't like to admit it.

a scrunched look makes its way to your face as you contemplated, not even bothering to hide how unsure you were of her straight-forward suggests. you were thinking, and you were thinking real hard. apart of you wanted to be friends with her, since she did seem like a really sweet girl despite being in here to be trained to fight for her life, but yet apart of you didn't really want new friends..

then again, maybe you didn't want friends at all, and yet now you're here.. getting softened up by a blond book worm.

sasha noticed the look on your face and immediately paused, her smile dropping as a thoughtful frown washes over her enthusiastic features. she let's out a loud and wondering hum, her pointer finger lightly tapping on her chin while her eyes squinted up on the wooden ceiling.
