The sound of blaring alarm clock woke me up the next morning. I just wanted to sleep to be honest.

But then I remember that Andy is driving me to school and instantly I jump out of bed.

After jumping in the shower I threw on a gray tank top with the Batman symbol on it and messily tucked it into a black skirt that had lace on it with a black belt. Since it was early March and still cold out I put on some tights with a black diamond pattern in them. To top it all off I added a black leather jacket and black Toms.

I decided to straighten my hair and push my bangs off to the side. My name up was a piece of art with black eyeliner and a gray and black smokey eye.

I felt proud of myself for actually trying to look halfway decent. Especially for a Wednesday.

Checking one last time in the mirror I made sure my outfit and appearance was perfect then made my way down to the kitchen.

Mom was already at the table, typing away on her work laptop. When she looked up she smiled and did one of those little girl squeals.

"You look so beautiful Honey!"

I smiled while a blush formed on my cheeks. "Thanks mom."

She smiled and sipped at her coffee. "You haven't really dressed this nice in awhile. Trying to impress someone maybe?"

I could feel myself go pale then turn the brightest shade of red. "No. Just thought I'd dress nice today.."

I could see that look in her eyes. She was on to me. "So you didn't dress up for a boy? For Andy?"

Yup. She knows. So maybe I had dressed up a little for him him. That's not a crime is it?

"Mom!"

Her smile grew even more and she started squealing again. She finally calmed down a little and went back to sipping her coffee.

"I made muffins this morning. Homemade strawberry banana."

I smiled at her before walking over and giving my loving mother a kiss on the cheek. "Thanks mom. I love you."

She gave me a hug and smiled back. "I love you too Briar."

Just then there was a knock on the door. I looked at the clock to see it was 7:47. I ran to the door and opened it up to see Andy.

"Hi."

Andy smiled and I let him in. "Good morning Briar." He looked down at my outfit and smiled even more. "You look beautiful. And nice shirt. Batman is life dude."

My face lit up and my cheeks turned the lightest shade of red. "Thanks. And I definitely agree!"

We just laughed and walked into the kitchen where mom was still sitting at the table.

"Well good morning Andy." I walked over to the counter where the muffins sat still nice and warm.

"Good morning Mrs. Kennedy." I heard him sit down at the table.

"Hey Andy, you want a muffin? Mom made them this morning. Strawberry banana flavored."

"That sounds really good." I grabbed two muffins and placed them on some little plates. I sat his down in front of him before taking a seat at the table.

"Thanks." I looked over at Andy and gave him a small smile.

"How bad is the snow Andy?" Mom started making small talk with Andy that I had been tuning out for the past five minutes until snow was mentioned. I spoke before Andy could.
