Teri dooriyan mujhpe gunaah hai,
Dil-E-Chahta iski gawaah hai,
Meri duniya teri fanna hai,
Yahi ishq ne mujhse kaha hai.
Kuch mujhme tu aise bassa hai,
Koi mujhme na meri jagah hai,
Kuch dekhu to tu dikhta hai,
Meri ankhon mein teri nigaah hai.
Tujhse bichad ke baa khuda main yahan,
Jee na sakunga ikk lamha.
Aram aata hai didaar se tere,
Mit jate hai sare gam,
Hai ye dua ke tujhe,
Dekhte dekhte hi nikal jaye dum

"In these two weeks, staying away from you has made me realize how empty I feel when we're apart. And you haven't spoken to me even once. It's okay, little doe, I have a surprise for you. Whether our relationship is accepted by anyone or not, it doesn't matter to me anymore; I will make you mine forever." Harshvardhan said this to himself with a wide and easy grin on his face, looking out of the car window at the sky.

He took out a ring box from his blazer and, looking at it, said, "Just wait for 10 minutes for your surprise, Anaya. I promise seeing it will bring a smile to your face. Drive fast."

The driver sped up the car as Harshvardhan commanded. Soon they reached the Ahlawat villa. Harshvardhan went straight to the veranda area of the villa and called Anaya to meet him. It was midnight, so no one at home knew he was coming.

Harshvardhan's POV,

I'm feeling so fucking nervous. (*tearing leaves he picked from a nearby plant into little pieces) After all, I'm going to propose for the first time. I didn't know it was this difficult. I'm seriously sweating right now. Calm down, Harshvardhan, calm down; it's not a big deal.

But how should I do it? Screw it, I haven't thought about that.

Should I kneel down to propose or just stand?

And what should I say?

"Anaya, I love you!"

But she already knows that. So what do I say to her? "I want to marry you?" But what if she says I'm being too demanding?

Oh no, should I call Daksh? No, no, no, he'll tease me. Shaan, yeah, I'll call Shaan instead.

"Harshvardhan?"

Author's POV,

Harshvardhan turned towards her. He gulped and stuttered, "Anaya, um, hey! You look good," avoided eye contact with her, scratching the back of his neck, and with a grin, "I need to talk to you about something."

"I need to talk to you about something important too," Anaya replied in a low tone.

"Are you okay? Were you crying? Just tell me the name," Harshvardhan groaned yet in a concerned tone while running his left thumb down on Anaya's cheek and the right hand on her neck.

"I'm fine. What did you want to talk about?" Anaya said, moving backward and removing his hand.

Harshvardhan POV,

"Well, actually, umm..."

Should I tell her? She seems upset, and I might make things worse. I'll talk to Shaan first and then figure out how to propose to her.

"Well, I just wanted to see you. It's been two weeks since we met." His face was blushing while saying this, and his breath was quickened, so was his pulse.

I know I've been keeping an eye on you and watching you from afar, but I can't help it. Anyway,

Author POV,

"What did you want to talk about?" He said, coming near her personal space. Now both of them were close.

Anaya looked into Harshvardhan's eyes and whispered, "Harshwardhan, everything between us is over," indicating that she had no regrets about whatever she was doing.

"What?" Harshvardhan gazed at her with wide eyes and lifted eyebrows.

"Whatever was between us is finished," Anaya shouted, raising her voice to show her determination.

"Little doe, I think you need rest. Go to sleep, and we'll talk in the morning, okay?" Harshvardhan muttered and moved back slightly, unable to believe what she said.

Smacking palm into his forehead, he said, "Clearly, my head is not working right now; that's why I disturbed your sleep and called you at midnight. That's why your mood is upset, right? I'm really sorry, little doe. That's so wrong. I - I don't believe it-"

Now Anaya was irritated by his behavior, so she pointed her finger at him and yelled,

"Harshvardhan Singh Ahlawat, you need to wake up. I don't want to be with you anymore. Our love and everything between us is over. I'm going to get married."

Harshvardhan smirked and soon started laughing, bending down and slapping his thighs. Anaya was shocked at his reaction.

Soon, Harshvardhan stopped; his face was flushed, and his eyes turned red.

"Oh, Anaya, your way of proposing is quite strange. I think I just had a minor heart attack," Harshvardhan said sarcastically, leaning forward to her. His half-smile, clenched fist with white knuckles showed how he was controlling his anger at that moment.

Anaya cut him off and said, "Harshvardhan, stop acting like this. Can't you understand what I'm saying? Anaya and Harshvardhan are over. We are not 'us' anymore. I'm moving on, and you should too. In five days, I'll be marrying your brother, Lakshya."

Harshvardhan grabbed her arm and pulled her towards him in anger; his jaw clenched, tension in neck cord stand out, looking into her eyes with rage, he roared, "Don't say another word, or everyone will face the consequences of your words." His narrowed red eyes looked even scarier in that dark night.

Anaya was in pain. Harshvardhan was gripping her arm tightly. She was trembling, but still, she couldn't weaken in front of him. Collecting all her confidence, she freed herself from his grip and angrily said, "This is happening by my choice because I don't want to stay with a selfish man like you, who only cares about himself. And yes, don't come near me again because I'm going to be your sister-in-law, so behave. I'm becoming Anaya Lakshya--..."

Before Anaya could finish, Harshvardhan thundered, "Anaya!" and raised his hand towards her but stopped midway.

Anaya smiled with regret and said, "You've given me yet another reason why I shouldn't be with you."

Anaya left Harshvardhan alone and walked away.

Harshvardhan was seething with anger because he had come to propose to Anaya today, but instead, she was going to marry his brother. Upon hearing this, a different kind of beast was awakening inside Harshvardhan, who was ready to destroy everything around.

Seeing Anaya leaving, Harshvardhan husked, "You cannot break my heart again and again. It was my mistake to give you another chance. Today, you've done the same thing you did seven years ago. Anaya Tripathi, you will pay for whatever you did. You've seen Harshvardhan Singh Ahlawat's love; now you will see his hatred. I will destroy you every moment; you will neither live in peace nor find solace. You will regret this day for the rest of your life."

"You ruined everything, little doe," Harshvardhan said, putting his hands in his pants. He sighed. Now, he was no longer angry; he was hurt. He was in pain. His dreams were shattered once more, with the same person whom he loved most in his life. But now he was ready to destroy her in every possible way, and he will.
