The dark green haired man looked at the femme with admiration behind his eyes. Frank was thankful to had met Keyana at the perfect time. It was exactly two years ago when the pandemic started and it had thrown off all his plans for the start of the new decade. And not only that, his brother died as well. It had left him completely depressed and heartbroken.

He was contemplating suicide all over again until he met her. It had felt full circle to him. Years ago, when he was in this exact place, he had met his longtime friend, Tyler, and he stopped him from committing without even knowing. And it was the same case for Keyana.

He wasn't expecting to see her sitting on a bench of the bridge he was gonna jump off of. He wasn't expecting her to be there sitting and reading, listening to the cars that drove past. He wasn't expecting her to not know his music. Everyone does. But her not knowing it gave him comfort. He slightly felt like life was worth it again.

"Yeah.. I've heard of your music but not that much. You have a beautiful voice, it does something to my soul... I'm embarrassed that I don't know your music."

He didn't hold it against her. He was glad. The more he talked to her, the more he felt as if life was worth it again. They exchanged numbers and he went home with a change of heart. But that pain was still there, and it was hurting him.

It started with small talk, but the more they talked, the more he felt like life was worth it again. She was pulling him out a depression she didn't even know he was in. She listened to him. She comforted him. And it was genuine.

After a tough few months battling his depression, Frank finally felt like himself again. He declared Keyana his best friend.

Now, two years later, they both sat on large brown couch in his living room, looking at the fake stars on the ceiling. "Hey, thank you for being here."

"Of course, Frankie!! You're my best friend, why wouldn't I be here?" Keyana giggled and cuddled up next to her best friend more, her eyes closing and they laid there in comfort. The AC was on and it was currently snowing outside. Yeah, they're that type of duo. Always wanting to be cold.

Frank was used to this, laying with his best friend in a comfortable silence. If Frank didn't fully like men, they would be totally dating right now. But, he doesn't look at her like that. If there was a way people could get marriage without the romantic aspects in it, he would definitely marry her. That's the best way Frank could explain his feelings towards the femme.

After awhile, Frank's phone started to buzz causing him to groan, reaching for it. He turned it on and let out a small sigh, realizing his friends were texting the group chat again. He started to feel guilty once again.

After he met Keyana, he isolated himself away from his friends and started to focus on bettering himself mentally and emotionally. He felt like a normal person when he was with Keyana. He didn't feel famous. Keyana would take Frank to her hometown all the time and people wouldn't even come up to him. That's how normal it was for Frank. And he desperately wanted to cling onto that as much as possible.

But then again, he couldn't shut out his old friends like that. Especially Tyler and the people that was in the group, "Odd Future". And he definitely couldn't shut out his other close friend, Solange. It's not everyday someone gets to say, "I'm Solange's friend." in full confidence.

"Is it your friends again? You can't avoid them forever, bubba.." Keyana said, feeling guilty. "I know.. They're in New York, and want to see me..." Frank trailed off, shutting off his phone.

"That's perfect! Invite them over! Y'all can have like a sleepover!"

"Y'all? If you not staying here then they ain't coming."
