I hold my head in my hands as the band plays.
With an affinity for music myself, I can tell the apparent problem.
They suck. That and the two basses are practically fighting each other to be heard, resulting in an ego-killing cacophony of garbage noise.
Who comes up with this shit?!
Despite the torture my ears are enduring, I can hear some distinctly good chords coming from the mess of sound and make sure my recording got them before I shut it off.
At the same time, the crowd begins to chime in.
(???): PFFT AHAHAHA! THEY STILL FUCKING SUCK!!
That one comment sets off a landslide of other insults. The room becomes a cacophony of laughter and jeering simultaneously, all aimed at the three performers on stage.
The look of disgust on my face before gave way to a look of disappointment.
Coming to someone's show just to rag on them with shitty jokes is just low.
Then I realized the music had stopped.
On stage, the trio were clearly panicking. The drummer was trying to inch off stage while their purple bassist was close to a breakdown.Still, the vocalist stood her ground. She rages, cursing at the crowd herself.
Fang: FUCK YOU! |She tosses her bas aside and flips a bird in each hand.| FUCK ALL OF YOU!
(???): NO ONE WOULD WANT TO FUCK YOU, BITCH!
I don't know about that- I mean, that clearly struck a chord with her as she freezes up momentarily before taking her bass, grabbing the purple bassist, and walking off the stage with the drummer in tow.
I...I'm out of words to say for this.
I run my hands over my face, exhaustion hitting me like a freight train.
I stand up, shove my hands in my pockets, and begin walking towards the exit.
Principal Spears is there. He seems caught off guard by my tired expression, but I barely glance at him as I leave the room. The last thing I catch in earshot is-
Spears: WHOSE SORRY ASS AM I GONNA HAVE TO SUPLEX!
Sunset bathes the world orange as I descend the steps of the school.
I decide to walk home. It's not that far.
As I do, though, I catch myself wondering about Fang.
More specifically, about why she only froze after that one comment.
Is the idea of being unattractive really that scary to her? With a body like that, I can't fathom why.
<{^}><{^}><{^}><{^}><{^}>
I've decided to walk to school from here on; that Raptor that usually drives me gets on my nerves.
As I walk up the steps to the school, my Skinnie-Senses tingle.
A great evil approaches.
Naomi: Good morning, Drake!
Urgggggghhhhhhhh...
Drake: Morning, Naomi. Where's Naser? I figured you two'd be attached at the hip.
Maybe that'd keep her away from me...
