(At home before Jimin arrived at the company)

Jimin was just done showering when he thought about bringing lunch for Jungkook. The alpha would get hungry by the time he would reach there and he could meet their parents along with the alpha. They could go shopping together from there. That seemed like a perfect plan so he quickly got dressed and skipped towards the kitchen happily.
He wasn't a bad chef but he wasn't as good as the alpha. He reluctantly learnt how to cook some simple dishes when he had to move abroad for studies. He didn't like to cook much. He used to get an earful from his mother about how every omega should know how to cook as it's their duty. He rolled his eyes at the thought like always. Thankfully, Jungkook didn't agree with his mother. The alpha had no problem with being the chef in their household since he loved cooking and was a good chef. He was grateful to Jungkook for that.
It wasn't a rare occurrence of Jimin cooking, though. He cooked whenever he was free or Jungkook was tired or busy. Today was such a day. He wanted to cook for the alpha since he had so diligently planned a date for them in the evening even though he would be tired from all his recent busy schedule and his best friend wouldn't let him slack off during suit selection. He decided to make some kimbap rolls and japchae to pack for lunch since the alpha loved his kimbap rolls the most.
He hummed his favorite song as he prepared the lunch peacefully. He had just finished packing the lunch box as his phone played his caller tune from the living room. He shut the box carelessly and ram towards the living room. He hoped it was his anticipated call. He picked his phone to see the caller. The name flashing on his phone screen pulled a smile on his lips. He was waiting to talk to him for so long, his Yoongi hyung.
Yoongi was a police officer and Taehyung's mate. It was a shocker for all of them when Taehyung declared that he was mating the alpha he was secretly– the same Taehyung who swore that he would never date an older man, let alone a person with such a hectic and dangerous job. He trusted his best friend's choice but he was skeptical at first even though he did not hate him. It didn't take much long for him to get close to him, the alpha’s naturally caring personality fulfilled his desire of an older brother he never had.
“So you do remember that you were supposed to call me today?” He said in mock sarcasm.
A groan was heard from the other side. “I'm sorry. I was going to call you earlier but something came up and it is keeping me busy. I'm calling you while having a short 10 minute break.” He sighed.
“What happened hyung? You sound drained.” His brows furrowed, concern audible in his voice.
“Because I am drained, min. Some rich bastard thought it was too good of a day and decided to trouble the whole police station.” his voice was strained.
“Oh, I see. Do I know about this case?” He wondered. He was used to asking Yoongi about his work so he knew most of the cases Yoongi worked on.
“No but you will soon come to know.” Yoongi said with a small scoff.
“What do you mean?” his brows furrowed. He didn't understand why Yoongi said that and it didn't sit right with him that Yoongi never told him about this case whatsoever.
“Nothing. What is that alpha of yours doing?”
“He's at the office. I was just packing lunch for him when you called.” He said cheerfully. Just the thought of the alpha had his scent blooming from joy. He was down bad for the alpha.
“The alpha hasn't turned into a big boy, I see.” Yoongi scoffed.
“Don't say that, hyung. It was me who decided to bring lunch for him since we are already going to meet Tae later for shopping.” He said in a small voice, clearly upset with Yoongi.
