*Play the song from beginning*
Edward raced through the darkened streets towards the hospital, his mind was filled with memories of the moment he had discovered the shocking truth about his long-lost brother.
It was the moment he'd always remember very clearly, a moment that completely changed his life.
*Flashback*
Edward had been searching desperately, roaming from one hospital to another, determined to find his brother. Every dead end only fueled his desperation. Finally, he arrived at Holy Cross Hospital-the last place left to check. The hospital where the doctor who had written that letter to his father worked.
Approaching the reception desk, Edward wasted no time. "Where is Dr. Verma?" he demanded.
The receptionist, taken aback by his urgency, quickly checked her records. "He still works here," she confirmed.
Edward felt his anger boil over. Without another word, he ran through the hallways, shoving open the doors of the doctor's office. The sound startled Dr. Verma, who looked up from his paperwork, his pen freezing midair.
Edward stormed toward him, grabbing the doctor by the collar. "Where is my brother?" he yelled, his voice raw with fury.
The doctor's face paled, and he stammered, eyes darting away in shame. "I... I know who you are," he whispered, guilt weighing heavily on his shoulders.
Edward's grip tightened. "Then tell me where he is!"
Dr. Verma swallowed hard and lowered his gaze. "I'm sorry, i shouldnt have don what i did" he murmured. "But your brother... he's here. He's admitted in this hospital right now."
Edward felt his breath hitch. His heart pounded against his ribs. "What?" he choked out.
"He's alive," the doctor continued solemnly.
For a moment, the world around Edward blurred. His mind struggled to process the words. His brother-alive? After all this time?
Edward didn't wait for another second. "Which room?" he demanded.
"Room 65," the doctor replied.
Edward ran. His feet barely touched the ground as he sprinted through the corridors. His pulse thundered in his ears, drowning out everything else. Room 65. His brother was in Room 65.
Reaching the door, his steps faltered. His chest heaved as he stared at the number, the reality of the moment settling over him. Slowly, he pushed open the door.
And there, lying unconscious on the hospital bed, was Stefan.
Edward's breath caught in his throat. The realization crashed into him like a tidal wave. He had been near Stefan all this time, and yet he had never recognized him.
Tears welled in his eyes as he approached the bed. He reached out, his trembling fingers gently cupping Stefan's cheek. A strangled sob escaped his lips.
"You have me, Brother" he whispered, his voice breaking. He leaned down and hugged him gently, his heart aching with both relief and sorrow.
He had found his brother at last
*Flashback End*
Edward had a small yet genuine smile on his face. Relief flooded his heart-his brother was alive, and for that, he was grateful. But that relief was fleeting, overshadowed by a gnawing worry. If Stefan was still here, he wasn't safe yet. Danger still loomed over them like a dark cloud, and Edward knew he had to act fast.
