The cemetery was quiet, save for the rustling of the wind through the trees. Stefan Cooper stood before the graves of Edward and Manjari, his hands trembling and a tear falling from his eye as he placed a bouquet of delicate flowers at the base of their headstones.
He stood for a moment, his eyes lingering on the names carved into the cold granite, memories flooding his mind-memories of laughter, love, and loss.
Beside him, Edward's son, Raghav, stood with wide eyes, holding a small bouquet of flowers in his tiny hands. He looked up at Stefan, his innocent face filled with confusion.
"Stefan Uncle, where are Mom and Dad?" he asked, his voice soft but full of wonder.
Stefan's heart tightened as he knelt down to Raghav's level. With a small, bittersweet smile, he ruffled the boy's hair. "Well, Raghav," he began, his voice trying to lighten the moment, "Your dad and Mom are... off on a big adventure, somewhere beyond the clouds. You know, they're having a picnic with the stars right now."
Raghav's eyes brightened at the thought, but then his small brow furrowed. "Do you think they'll save me some stars?"
Stefan closed his eyes, a single tear slipping down his cheek. He placed a hand on Raghav's shoulder, pulling him into his arms as the weight of his own loss threatened to crush him.
Stefan's heart cracked. He knew, deep down, there were no stars big enough to bring them back. But he smiled through the pain, trying to give the boy some peace.
"Of course," Stefan whispered. "They'll save the biggest, brightest star for you."
With trembling hands, Stefan lifted Raghav into his arms. The boy's small body fit against him like a fragile promise, and as Stefan stood, they both gazed up at the sky, the stars just beginning to emerge in the dusky evening. The world felt impossibly still, as if time had stopped in this moment of shared loss.
As the first star flickered in the twilight, Stefan felt his heart break all over again. He wasn't just grieving for Edward and Manjari, but for the future Raghav would have to face without them. The boy had lost so much, and yet, Stefan held him as tightly as he could, trying to be both a shield and a guide in the storm.

Few years later, the room stood still, its walls heavy with memories. Three photo frames hung on the wall, each holding a piece of the past-one of Stefan, one of Manjari, and one of Edward. Their faces, frozen in time, gazed down at the room with silent understanding. The light from the window cast a soft glow on the frames, giving them a warm, comforting presence in the otherwise quiet space.
At the desk beneath the frames, a boy sat, pen in hand, his eyes focused on the pages of a book. The room was peaceful, but there was a sense of purpose in the air, as if the weight of history, love, and loss was settling into something new.
Raghav, now older, his features a blend of both his father and Stefan, carefully signed his name on the last page of the book. His pen hovered for a moment before he wrote: 'Raghav Edward Cooper'
There was a pause-just a moment where his hand trembled slightly, then the ink flowed smoothly across the paper. The signature was a combination of both men who had shaped his life. Edward, his father, whose warmth and love still lived within him, and Stefan, who had become more than just an uncle, more than just a protector-he had become a guide, a symbol of strength through the darkest times.
Raghav sat back in his chair, a small smile tugging at his lips. He closed the book gently, the title on the cover catching the light: 1946: EK PREM KATHA. It was a story of love, loss, and resilience-a story of the bond they had shared, a love that transcended time and space, a love that would never be forgotten.
Raghav stood, placing the book carefully on the desk. He looked at the three faces on the wall once more, each of them watching over him. And as he gazed up, the smile on his face grew wider, more certain.
"I'll carry you with me," Raghav whispered softly to the empty room. "ALL OF YOU."
