The attack was over, the walkers were dead...but so were a large number of the group.
"I remember my dream now, why I dug the holes." Jim said as they all stood lost in their own thoughts. The only other sounds were those of quiet crying from from some of the group and the loud sobs of Andrea who was sitting over Amy's lifeless body.
As everyone quietly dispersed to their tents Al made her way to the top of the R.V. Even though she was exhausted after the day she'd had the thought of going to sleep scared her too much.
As she sat there lost in her own thoughts she didn't hear someone come up behind her.
"You can't sleep either?" Shane asked as he came to sit next to her.
"No...the thought of going to sleep after everything that just happened doesn't really appeal to me."
"I get that....how was Atlanta? I saw Merle didn't come back with you...is he...?"
"It was fine I guess....pretty uneventful. Merle wasn't there when we got there...his hand was though, then Glenn got kidnapped and the leader of that group threatened to chop him up and feed him to his chihuahuas unless we gave him the bag of guns we had, and Daryl shot some guy in the ass with an arrow and then threatened to cut another kids feet off, oh and then Merle stole the truck so we had to jog all the way back. So you know...all in a day's work."
"I can't tell if you're joking or not."
"Saying it out loud does sound kinda crazy... but it all happened."
"Wait...if Glenn's here does that mean you don't have the bag of guns?"
"No we have them. Well some of them. Turns out the group was protecting a nursing home. Apparently all the staff just up and left when shit went down. The only ones who stayed were the custodian...aka the guy who threatened to feed Glenn to satan's spawn dogs, and one of the other nurses... aka the guy Daryl shot in the ass. The rest of the group was made up of family who came to check up on their relatives but decided to stay. Before we left Rick gave them a few guns and some ammo but we still walked away with most of them."
"And Merle?"
"Cut off his hand and then left. Must of come across the truck and taken it."
"Well, shit. Sounds like you had one hell of a day."
"I think we all did." She said before resting her head on his shoulder. Shane looked down at her, surprised for a moment but he let her stay like that. He could see that she was exhausted but was too scared to go back to her tent. So he made himself comfortable as he watched her slowly fall asleep before he too eventually drifted off.
They were still like that when Rick came of his tent at dawn. When he saw them he stopped in his tracks, anger and jealousy slowly creeping their way into his system. He knew he had no right to be jealous...that he shouldn't be jealous. He was a married man after all and the feelings he had for Al were wrong...but yet there they were. He looked at her sleeping peacefully on Shane's shoulder for a while longer before clenching his fists and walking up the hill.

When Rick came down an hour later the men were busy separating the dead into two groups but his focus was on Andrea who was still in the same place she'd been the night before.
"She still won't move?"
"She won't even talk to us. She's been there all night. What do we do?" Lori asked.
"We can't just leave Amy like that. We need to deal with it. Same as the others." Shane said as made his way over to them and sat down next to Al. Rick couldn't help but notice how she smiled up at him or how Shane gently squeezed her knee before taking a sip of her coffee before handing it back to her while whispering something into her ear making her blush a little. Rick felt the jealousy from earlier come back. He clenched his jaw before turning his back on them.
"I'll tell her how it is." Rick said making his way over to Andrea but as soon as he got there she pulled a gun on him. She said something to Rick that the others couldn't hear and he started to back away from her before making his way back to the fire.
"You all can't be serious. Let that girl ham string us? The dead girl's a time bomb."
"And what do you suggest we do Daryl?" Al asked.
"Take the shot. Clean, in the brain from here. Hell I can hit a turkey between the eyes from this distance."
"No. Just let her be. Look I'll keep an eye on them. When Amy comes back and Andrea makes no move to put her down then I'll do it. But until then...just leave her alone." Al said as she got up and walked away.
