Lexi's P.O.V
I threw open the bathroom door and tossed my entire body over the toilet, feeling my stomach lurch again. My head was spinning and my heart was racing to the point where I was worried that it would explode.
Then, I felt it.
The hot liquid surged up my throat and I gagged, throwing up in the clear water.
The bathroom door creaked open and Stacey gasped as she saw me. "Lexi! Dude, what the hell? Are you okay?" My best friend asked and dropped on the floor next to me. "You just left me in the middle of a sentence-"
I stopped her by throwing up again, coughing afterward.
She pulled my hair into a ponytail and rubbed my back. "Dear goodness. Is my cooking that bad?" She asked with a scrunched nose.
I shook my head. "I don't think it's your cooking, Stace. You're an amazing cook." I staggered over to the sink to rinse my mouth. "Maybe it's the flu. I remember my doctor bugging me about not taking the vaccine."
She sighed and shook her head. "You know, you really should start listening to your doctor."
I shut off the sink and glared at her. "Whatever. Where did you put the Pepto Bismol?" I asked as I began searching through our cabinets.
"We have lived here for four years, and you don't know where the Pepto Bismol is?" She scoffed.
I rolled my eyes and continued raiding the cabinet. "Not the time to be joking around, Stace," I mumbled and finally found the medicine behind the large box of bandaids. I sighed and began pouring out my dosage, slamming the cabinet closed in the process.
She laughed. "Dude, I swear. Ever since you saw Niall again, you've literally built up an attitude," she said as she noticed my rough behavior.
I stopped in my tracks and my racing heart seemed to have stopped beating. I stayed there a bit, with Niall's name ringing through my head. As it did, I slowly began remembering everything that happened approximately two weeks ago.
The party.
The exchange in awkward smiles.
The alcohol.
The dizziness.
The falling into his arms.
The kissing.
The-
My mouth parted into a slow gasp as the memory slapped me in the face.
"Oh my god," I whispered as the thought occured in my mind. "No," I whispered again as I shook my head. "No, no, no, no, no! That can't be," I dropped the medicine that I was holding into the sink as I backed up towards the bathroom wall.
"What? What?" Stacey stepped forward with concerned, wide eyes. "Lexi."
I shook my head again. "Nonononono. Shit-"
"Lexi! You are seriously freaking me out right now!" She placed her hands on my shoulders and looked me dead in the eye. "You have to tell me right now. What. Is. Going. On?"
I covered my mouth as I started shaking. "Stacey...take me to the pharmacy," I squeaked out.
She looked slightly confused. "W-what?" She whispered.
"Niall," I swallowed and held my stomach. "The party. We..."
She looked down at where I had my hand and it took her a few seconds to finally look back up and realize what I was trying to imply.
"Oh no," she dropped open her mouth and covered it. "Do you think you're-"
"I don't know," I said quickly. "But what if I-"
"We gotta get you to the pharmacy," she uttered lowly.
I nodded in a panic and she practically dragged me to the car.
