I FOLLOWED MY DAD ONTO THE TRAINING FIELD, IT WAS WET

it had rained the day before. But there were already some players there. I recognized Fermin Lopez and Victor Roque. I wanted pictures with them, but my dad said, " Got sit in the stands while they train." he pointed over to the seating.

I walked over and sat down. I pulled my phone out and scrolled through TikTok when I got an email.

Due to field conditions training today is canceled and will be rescheduled on Friday. Sorry for the late notice! :)

I rolled my eyes at it; I mean I could have told you that! What a waste of time and now I'd be stuck watching training. I went back to my phone.

It was about the end of practice when I heard my name. " Vitória!" Looked up to see Hector waving on the field. " Hector!" I waved back. Hector wasn't really a part of our friend circle when we were kids. He didn't hang out with us all the time, so he wasn't really a part of the "gang" I guess. But he still looked the same just with a tattoo and more grown up. He started to walk onto the stands. " Hey, haven't seen you in a minute, how have you been?" he hovered on the chair in the row in front of me.

" Good. I've been good. Didn't expect to come back and see you and Sara so close." I smiled, and Hector blushed and shrugged. " So, some of the younger guys on the team are hanging out at my house tomorrow with some of their friends if you want to come?" Hector asked.

" Yeah, I'd love to." I made a mental note to ask my dad. " FORT!" it was the head coach Xavi. " Quit socializing!". Hector made a sorry hand motion and said goodbye. The guys from the team laughed at the walk of shame Hector took from the stands to the field.
