Zorelia Woods
"HUHHHHH," I yelled in frustration. I'm currently working on editing a YouTube video for my hair growth oil company, but I can't get any of the transitions right.
"Maybe it's time for a brain break," I muttered to myself.
I saw the piece of paper with the corporate number of McDonald's from last night on my dresser and decided to give them a call.
404-967-.... I dialed the number and waited for someone to answer.
"Hello?" A deep voice said on the other end.
"Hi, yes. My name is Zorelia, I'm calling to make a complaint about the general manager of one of your establishments?"
The deep voice let out a long sigh.
"What the fuck," I pulled my phone back to look at the number again. "Hello?"
"I'm sorry," the voice started. "I gave you the wrong number on purpose because I just couldn't stop thinking about how beautiful you a-"
"I'm sorry, this is the general manager?" I cut him off. Wow, I can't believe this man.
"Before you hang up, just hear me out,"
"I don't have anything t-,"
"Please?"
I sighed. "Fine. I'm listening,"
"I liked how polite you were at the intercom. Your voice is so soothing, like a lullaby. And then I saw your face..." He paused as if he was thinking about it.
Hmm...
"I saw your face and it's just as beautiful as your voice. I purposely gave you the wrong number because I couldn't stop thinking about our encounter at the drive-thru. I wanted so badly for you to pay attention to me or say something. It was immature of me to slam the window in your face, and for that, I apologize. I just... I really wanna get to know you," He finished off and let out a breath as if he had been holding that in his entire life.
"Well thank you, that's very sweet... And I appreciate your apology," I trailed off, not knowing what else to say.
"What's your name?" He asked.
"Zorelia."
"Zorelia," he repeated. "That's beautiful, it suits you well,"
I smiled as if he could see me. "Thank you,"
There was an awkward silence before he spoke again.
"Sooo, you still want that corporate number, orrrr,"
I let out a thunderous laugh. "Nah, we cool fam."
"Cool, cool... Well, maybe you can come back to visit my store someday? I mean, you never did get your order..."
"I'll think about it," I replied.
"Hey, that's better than nothing. I'll catch you later then,"
"Bye," I ended the call, just staring at my phone for a while.
Did that really just happen?

I felt a heavy presence plop down on the bed next to me.
"The hell?" I reached over to turn my lamp on. "Shelly, why are you in my bed right now? I'm naked."
"Nothing I haven't seen before," She smirked while wiggling her eyebrows.
"Gay ass," I mumbled before reaching to grab my phone and checking the time.
It was 8:36 pm.
"You woke me up from my nap for what?"
