I'm so sorry but I'm not too good at writing in first person yet so this'll be in 3rd. I'll learn different povs I promise (╥﹏╥)! Anyway, Hope you Enjoyyyyyyy!

You and Mikey have been dating for a good few 7 months now, and every week you two take one day to have a movie night. You being busy with school and work and him being busy saving New York from mutants and Yokais doesn't leave a bunch of time for you two to have big, elaborate dates. Especially recently since you're nearing the end of the semester, meaning COPIOUS amounts of homework. So, you both came up with this amazing solution! It's been working perfectly so far.

Every time you two have movie night, Mikey allows you to choose the movie, like the gentleman he is. However, this time, Mikey insisted you go prepare the snacks and stuff so that he can choose. You grew a little... Sceptical but... It couldn't be anything too bad, right? Mikey has decent taste sooo...

You shrug it off and walk into the lair's kitchen, grabbing the basic necessities for a movie night. Microwaved popcorn, gummy worms (the sour kind), just sugar galore, some soda and, of course, the piece of resistance, a tray of brownies Mikey made just for this occasion. You chuckle as you take a yellow sticky note off the tray with a VERY passive aggressive note etched onto it with little doodled stars decorating the empty spaces.

"I counted each brownie personally. If  even a  crumb is gone, I'll revoke your breathing privileges - Mikey :)"  You place the note on the counter before balancing the snacks on your arms and you walk back into the living room. With the help of your knight in shining shell, you place the snacks down and get all snug on the couch with heaps of warm, cuddly blankets and piles of fuzzy, snuggly pillows.

Both you and Mikey get cozy before he flips on the movie. A movie you never expected Mikey to actually put on... He's always insisted on it but you know how he is with this specific genre. However, he's actually done it Via his own devices. And hey, you won't complain.  But... You still wanna check if he's sure.

"Are... You sure you can handle this, Mikey? I know you're not the biggest fan of-" before you can finish your sentence, Mikey cuts you off by shuffling closer to you, pressing his carapace against the back of the couch, having it just nearly touching your sides.

"Psh, I got this! Chill, baby. I can totally handle this." His tone is... Uncertain. And you can tell. It's clear as day. However, he tries to showcase a relaxed and confident face and or posture.

You sigh and chuckle softy again, giving him an expectant and knowing grin... You watch as the movie begins and sit there coolly. There's only ONE prominent thought tracing around your mind right now... He's not gonna be able to handle this.

He wouldn't be scared, he thought. It was fine, he thought. Well, he was wrong.

Whenever you and Mikey have your movie nights, and he insists on it being a horror. Obviously horror movies don't affect you (at least not as much as him), but he's practically SHAKING like a leaf. Huddled underneath the blankets he curled up in, it's  perplexing how he's even still looking at the screen. It's nearly hilarious.

He flinches as the sound of stabbing flesh comes from the screen. He wants to show he is NOT a baby and could handle this stuff. He wants to be brave for you! but…

You continue watching the screen with a small smile, enjoying the movie and finding it intriguing. Malignant. That's the movie name. It's interesting so far! Well... For you anyway. Scary. But kinda intriguing.

Now, You have offered to change the movie to something more tame and chill but... He insists on leaving it on and that he's loving it. Thus far, he really seems to not be having a fun time.

You glance over at him and sigh with a soft smile. "Mikestar, seriously. If you wanna change the movie, I won't mind-" but nooooooo. He insists this movie is perfectly fine!

He covers himself with the blanket, the blood-curdling scream coming from the soundtrack not helping his case. Why he insisted on choosing horror, he has no idea. Well... he does. But now it just seems ridiculous. He doesn't feel like telling you he's terrified of these movies, especially after insisting he would be fine. He wants to show he isn't afraid, that he was just pretending to be scared so he could suddenly look like a big, strong, stoic hero in front of you.

He tries to put a brave face but still can't get himself to look chilled out. Every time he peaks out of his blanket, he immediately scuttles back under like a toddler peaking behind something during hide and seek. He still acts like he's watching it though whenever he catches you peering over.

You obviously notice his attempts to mimic a brave and totally chill expression and softly smile at him. He's failing miserably to do so by the way. You have no clue why Mikey insisted on watching a horror so bad. You thought he hated scary stuff. Hell, you swear he's still scared of ghosts and stuff. His brothers told you a while ago he's always been scared of ghosts and horror related things. He's never been a fan of blood and guts in movies either.

You for one adore horror. You love movies like the poltergeist, the shining, IT, demonic, The nun, Smile, Truth or dare, Malignant. Stuff like that. You even like the bloody, gory movies. Maybe that's why he wanted to watch one. Cause he knows you love them?

As you both watch, you get an idea... You've come up with a system. Every time Mikey watches even a slightly scary or even freaky scene, you give him a small kiss and tell him how brave he is... That should give him a little confidence.

Once the scary scene is over, you put your brilliant plan into action. You suddenly cuddle him close for a few seconds and whisper lovingly to him between kisses on the cheek, face and lips. You say things such as-

"you're so brave, Honeypot.", "My hero.", "I love how strong you are.", "you're my brave, heroic knight, Michelangelo." he absolutely adores it when you call him a hero. especially YOUR hero. he's the youngest out of his brothers and the smallest so he sometimes doesn't feel like he's as heroic or powerful as them even though he's probably the strongest one. He threw a whole damn cargo ship for crying out loud.

Every kiss he receives from you only makes him smile and relax more. He was being such a baby but he is so grateful to you for comforting him. The rest of the movie goes on peacefully, thanks to your plan (which Mikey secretly enjoys but will never admit).

As the movie draws to its close, Mikey buries his head in your chest, wanting you to hold him close. He never realized how scary some horror movies could be... But, luckily for him, he has you for comfort and validation...

And he always will...

A few minutes later, you both flip on some random Jupiter Jim movie and slip off into a deep sleep on the couch, still cuddling one another closely as if letting go would kill you both.

Best. Date. Ever.
