Saturday morning
Courtney's POV
I jolted up into a sitting position way too quickly when I was awoken by an awful nightmare. My vision went blurry for a moment, to black spots, and then back to normal. Sweat was covering my forehead and I was breathing heavily. My head was dizzy and pounding now so I laid back down for a minute.
I dreamed last night that I was being held captive by some lunatic with big hair. He told me he had special intentions for me. He proceeded to push himself onto me even though I refused. I finally escaped but I was so distraught that I came home and told Sam to shoot me, she refused, and I turned the gun and shot myself. It was horrifying.
After a good five minutes of just laying there in bed I realized what day it was.
It was Saturday, the day of the party. I was so unprepared it wasn't even funny. I stayed up late last night talking to Sam about what to wear and what to do and how to act but she just shrugged me off so I had to do the next best thing. Google it. I know I said I talked to Same until late but the truth, I was reading discussion boards on college parties. Typical Friday night. I now knew though that I had to dress in the least amount of clothes possible and the most amount of makeup possible.
It was already 11am so I rolled out of bed and went into the kitchen, bed head and all. Since it was already almost lunch, I just made a sandwich and microwaveable macaroni. I took my food into the living room and sat down on the couch opposite the TV and clicked it on. There wasn't anything good on except SpongeBob. Good enough. I sat there like my usual dorky self, just eating away at my macaroni and watching a children's show with rapt attention.
After my brief meal and entertainment, I went back to my room to start looking for an outfit since it would probably take me a while to find anything. I searched through my closet thoroughly but with no luck. Just as I was about to give up I remembered something. I reached toward the back of the closet and pulled out a short, gold dress.
My sister had taken me shopping for "banquet dresses" for later on when I would go to interviews for medical school. When she picked this one out, she gave me a wink which now made me think she knew this moment would come. The moment when I'd finally bust out of my shell and become what was considered normal for college students. It's a little bit later than she thought it would be I assume. I have to remember to call her tomorrow and fill her in on everything.
I slipped on the dress, praying I hadn't gained too much weight since I graduated. Fortunately, it fit just right, a little snug around my chest though but it was also a nice push, if you know what I mean. It fell just above mid thigh and clung nicely to my curves. I took off the dress and went to take a shower.

7:00
I had finally finished with my look after several hours of redoing my makeup and hair. I had eventually give my up on my hair and just straightened it and applied just a tad bit darker of makeup than I usually wear.
I tugged at my strapless dress to make sure it was staying up, even though it fit fine. I've always worried about having a nip slip whenever I where strapless things since I was in middle school. I slipped on a pair of black heels and went into Sam's room, where she was finishing up on her jewelry.
"Does this look okay?" I asked her worriedly, starting to question the choice of light lipstick and thinking I should've gone dark. She turned around and it looked as though her eyes were about to pop out of her head.
"Oh my god! Who are you and what have you done with my roommate?" She said smiling, "You look amazing! I've never seen you in anything except sweaters and jeans! This is great! Oh and I almost forgot to tell you, Ashton and Michael are picking us up for the party in twenty minutes."
