Four young men in their early twenties are fussing about a serious business in the four corner studio. While he reads potential band names, the man in the muscle tee breaks out in laughter. "Song Silog, pota! Kaninong suggestion 'to?"
"Kunwari ka pang animal ka, halatadong ikaw nagsulat niyan, Q," replied Pancho, who was wearing a man bun and a plain white shirt.
"Yes, icompare niya ba naman 'yong itlog niya sa tapsilugan malapit sa kanila," concurred Sergio, the man in the vest.
"Next na, gar! May date pa ako eh," Flavio remarked impatiently while scanning his wrist watch.
"Oo na, oo na! Totoo namang mas malaki pa itlog ko, tanong mo pa kay Vio," Q said, arching his masculine eyebrows to Flavio because they were the closest in their group.
"Dali na, Q, atat na makaalis 'tong si Vio," said Serg.
After reading the last band name idea, Q cried out in laughter, "Sizzling Sising, pota ayaw ko na!" As they simultaneously scratched their napes, the three men lost hope.
Pancho, on the other hand, thought of something better, he suggested, "Mga pare, gusto ko kasi 'yung mala-lindol ang atake. What if seismic wave but Seize Mic?"
"Let me hear your scream for Seize Mic!" the host of the event welcomed them, the lights went down and then came back on much brighter as the audience let out loud yells as Pancho's drums hit for the first time.
Flavio is in his element, playing his guitar while singing their original songs, the girls were all wanting to watch him engage with them on stage with his seductive gestures.
During their third song, Vio observed one of the audiences standing in front of the barricades with a backstage pass on his lace, looking at his professional camera with one hand and sipping a drink in the other.
Their bassist, Sergio, signaled Paco and Q after noticing Vio's abrupt shift in mood. Paco also made sure his members were okay in his capacity as leader. He believed Vio was already worn out. He motioned for Q, their other guitarist, to step in and take the lead for the moment.
"Thanks," Vio said with a small nod before sprinting off stage to approach one of the event photographers.
The photographer, Jacinto, was taken aback when Flavio approached him, grinned, and then grabbed his drink. "Teka! Nainuman ko na 'yan!" Jacinto exclaimed, his face displaying disgust, realizing that Vio had already taken a sip from the straw.
Vio chuckled on the man's reaction. He said, "Akin na 'to ha?" and ran back up to the stage, but he heard the man yelled once more, "Kabibili ko lang niyan! Ang tagal kong pumila!"
His smiles never left his lips as he walked back on his spot. With even more vigor, he returned and continued to sing and play his guitar.
Mouthing "Kupal," Jacinto made sure the vocalist could see.
The photographer instantly disappeared from Vio's view during Seize Mic's final song. Pancho started to applaud their band as they went backstage to change their sweaty clothes, saying, "Good job, guys! Next time, Vio, sama ka magworkout para di ka mabilis mapagod."
But Serg saw much more: "May hindi ka nakita sa spot mo, Paco."
"Totoo, par. Kitang-kita namin ni Serg 'yong ganap sa baba kanina," Joaquim seconded.
"Gago! Nauhaw na kasi ako, ang init masyado. Eh sakto 'yong photographer may cold drinks," Flavio exclaimed, seeming culpable as he attempted to clarify what had transpired earlier.
