I wake up in the morning, make breakfast for me and my mum before going to the grocery store. I find the neccesities and then go back home. I sit in my childhood room, going through things on the floor.

When I find a box,labelled 'big big box of vora and joao'. And it is indeed a big big box.

I think, then I call him.

"Evora?" he asks, surprised

"hi, I found this box- big big box of vora and joao, wanna come look through it' I ask

"yes sure ofcource, I'm on my way" he says

"alright" I say hanging up. I don't know what I'm gonna do with Joao. Then I hear the doorbell rings. I go open it, and then we go back to my room.

We both sit on the floor in silence as we go through the box. We find photos, cards, things we made over the years we were friends.

"look" he laughs, showing me a photo he found. Its a photo from my 8th birthday party, me and Joao are both smiling ear to ear, our faces covered in cake. 

"I think that was the last time I saw you eat cake" he says zoning out on the photo. I honestly don't really like cake, Joao knows obviously but yeah.

I fidn another photo from that party. It was princess themed, so I was wearing this very long trailed dress. And it was at one of those kids party places, and there was an outside area that everyone was going to play in.

But it rained the night before, most of it was gone but there was this hugeee puddle by the entrance so without ruining the dress I couldn't get in.

In the photo, Joao is holding the trail of my dress, lifting it off the ground so it doesn't get ruined.

I spend some time looking at it. But I don't show Joao because its just gonna make it akward or something.

After a while of Joao being silent, I look over and see him reading my old diary. I scream and try grab it from him but he's grinning and turns away so I cant reach.

"Joao stop give it" I say trying to reach over him

"nuh uhhhhh" he grinns

"yuh uhhhhh" I say reaching again. He gives me the book back after a while and I think I'm red in embarrassment.

"i knew you liked me but i didnt know you a diary " he grinns squishing my cheek

"stop" I chuckle 

"can I tell you a secret?" he asks

"hm?" I say

"I liked you like that too" he smiles looking at all our stuff. THEN WHY DID U GO TO MAGUI BITCH. Mb. I laugh.

"why are you laughing?" he asks nudging my shoulder with his. 

"because youre joking right?" i chuckle 

"no why would i be joking? have you seen yourself?" he says. I try not to smile and look at the ground finding a good answer.

"you have a pretty face, pretty smile, pretty laugh, pretty eyes, and you were the first person who talked to me when i moved school- you were literally carrying my name so why wouldnt i likeyou?" he says

Okay buddy so what do u mean LIKE i thought we were talking about LIKED 

"hm"i say,i cant believe it that easy, if i was all this then why would he leave me for magui. We werent even dating but we werent just friends.

"that hoodie is uglyy"  joao grinns as i get in the front seat of his car.

"its yours" i smile putting my seatbelt on. He rolls his eyes as we start driving. This is day 2 of our trip to lisbon, and our last day. 

"thank you joao" i say turning to him in the car.  

"for?" he raises his brows parking the car in the McDonald's parking lot, which is pretty much empty this late at night.

"you brought me on this trip, and we both know why you did and yeah i really needed this and um yeah'

"listen, when we go back, if you need anything, if you need to stay over a night or however long you need im here for you"he says resting on hand on my cheek.

I smile and he kisses my forehead. We go into McDonald's, get our food and I go to the bathroom while he sits and eats.

When  I come back, I hear him on a call.

"shes the prettiest girl I've ever seen" he says "who else? Evora!". A smile spreads on my face, I sit down opposite him, trying not to blush.

"bye Hugo" he saysputting the phone down.  After we eat we go back in the car. We go for a little drive with the windows of the old Toyota down as we drive around Lisbon.

He drives us up a mountain, at first I was a bit unsure about it but once we got there I forgot everything. It was beautiful, it was the perfect view of the city and you could seeeverythig from the city lights to the pretty flowers.

"wow" I say as we sit down, looking at it.

"hm" he says. I turn to him but his eyes are on me. He starts laughing.

"THereS a spider on you" he says. I scream and jump up and if factory reset on your phone was a real like thing it would be me.

"I'm kidding" he laughs hysterically, clutching his stomach in pain from laughing so hard.

"Joao" I slap his back as I sit back down "youre not funny" 

"yes I am" he grinns

"funny looking" I smile shutting him up. We lay on the grass and lok up at the starts, when all of a sudden Joao starts poking me. And when I say poke I mean that tickle poke that makes you jump. 

I slap his arm again but he starts ticking me even mor. I laugh and roll around on the grass trying to get him off me but his fatass ain't moving unless I say lets go to kfc

"stoppp" I laugh trying to move his hands. And he does, but then we spend like a minute or two of eye contact. HIm still on top of me and me trying not to breathe to heavy.

"can I kiss you" he whispers, I nod and he leans in. We kiss, not the first time but a special time. The kiss goes on for a while, and after we pull away for air, he still comes back and pecks or leaves small kisses around my face.

"I love you" he whispers against my cheek, giving it one last kiss.

"I love you too" I say
