Chapter 5

Sanji POV

I was now sobbing because I knew that things were just going to get worse from here since I would have to explain myself now. I didn't want to think about how he would react about why I was losing sleep and crying when he knew that it was his words that had made me do it. "Sanji. What happened to you? You have terrible eye bags and your eyes have been puffy for a while now so what's going on?" are the questions Zoro asked. I was a bit shocked at the mention of my name but shook that thought from my head for now. I knew that I had to give him the truth even if the result was the worst possible outcome imaginable. "Well... The truth is that I-I haven't really been sleeping most nights and instead I stayed up crying the whole time. I-it was for a stupid reason really." Zoro looked at me with a concerned face from the information that I'd already given so i continued "remember last week after we you know... did it" both Zoro and I were blushing at the mention of this but I proceeded "you said 'let's just forget this ever happened ok? I was very drunk and wasn't thinking. I acted on impulse. Sorry.' then left me to dress." The tears started to fall down my cheeks again while I turned away from Zoro because I don't want him to feel conflicted in any way about this. "Sanji I didn't know what I was saying okay? I regret saying that and not following up afterwards to talk about it with you. Things were just really confusing at that point so I needed to gather my thoughts properly." Again Zoro had said my name and I was baffled and just stayed facing the wall not acknowledging what Zoro had said. "I don't want to hear your excuses on what you needed to do after what we did but I'm saying that it's the reason I've lost sleep which led to me running and getting hurt okay? Your words hurt me so fucking much because ever since I first joined this crew all I ever wanted was to be close to you but you always seemed to hate me so much. So when we finally got to that point and then you say that bullshit my heart broke." At this point I was screaming while crying and walking towards Zoro but continued "To get my point across through your thick ass skull I'm talking about how I have loved you since day one and you shut down any hope for me when you said what you said." I finished my sentence as my legs gave up on me and I collapsed landing on something soft.

Zoro POV

The cook had turned away from me so that I couldn't see him cry for some unknown reason to me so I tried to explain what had happened by saying "Sanji I didn't know what I was saying okay? I regret saying that and not following up afterwards to talk about it with you. Things were just really confusing at that point so I needed to gather my thoughts properly." The cook didn't seem interested in what I had to say so I was going to say something else but then Sanji said "I don't want to hear your excuses on what you needed to do after what we did but I'm saying that it's the reason I've lost sleep which led to me running and getting hurt okay? Your words hurt me so fucking much because ever since I first joined this crew all I ever wanted was to be close to you but you always seemed to hate me so much. So when we finally got to that point and then you say that bullshit my heart broke." Then paused for a second before continuing while walking towards me with tears streaming down his face "To get my point across through your thick ass skull I'm talking about how I have loved you since day one and you shut down any hope for me when you said what you said." Without realising I had started to tear up too from having to fight with Sanji all because he wouldn't hear me out but he suddenly collapsed so I reached out to catch him. I stared down at the cook whose face was all red from crying while he stared up at me with my face all red from being called out. Sanji tried to get away from me but I didn't let him, I continued to hold him in my arms until I had sat us on the ground. "Sanji." I whispered into his ear, I felt him freeze up and took that as my chance to carry on with my explanation "I know that I have caused you mental and physical pain from this incident but I need you to listen to me right now okay?" I got no response from the cook so I decided to continue "What we did that day was one of the greatest things I have done in my life. But what came afterwards confused me. Nami had come to find me after she had come from your room and we started to talk about what had happened. She said that I might actually have feelings for you and then over last week it became kind of obvious that I did. I started to get hot cheeks whenever you were around and when you weren't around I would think of you, it was like I had no other thoughts other than you. Honestly I should have realised it sooner but I had never felt this way about anyone before so everything was confusing me. What I'm trying to say is that I like you and I think that I was too oblivious about my own feelings from the very start when you joined the crew."
