Chapter 6

Zoro POV
After my promise to Sanji to take him out on a date on the next island we came across, my nerves got increasingly high when Nami yelled "ISLAND! THERE'S AN ISLAND!" I rushed to the main deck to check it out and see if it was appropriate for the picnic date Sanji and I had agreed on two weeks ago. As soon as I had seen the scenery I knew that it was going to be a perfect first date. There was a cute garden with a lake in the middle surrounded by willow trees. When we had gone closer to the island we saw that the people there were getting ready for a festival that was supposed to happen that night. We moored the ship in the harbour and took an even closer look at the island, it was absolutely breathtaking. I started to head over to Sanji and leant next to his ear to ask "would you like to have our date later tonight while the festival was going on so that the crew would be distracted and we could be left alone for a while?" It seemed that Sanji had the same idea because he turned around slightly flustered, probably thinking that I had just read his mind. He just nodded his head in response, still in a little shock from my question, then got up to go and prepare the food and drinks for later. I decided to go explore the island to pick the perfect spot to have our picnic date later but even though I hate to admit it I got lost yet again so I chose to stay where I was and lean against a tree. It had only been about 15 minutes when I heard footsteps coming closer to me but I felt no need to panic since I recognised the pattern of the walk and knew it was Sanji. I opened my eyes to see my pretty boyfriend with a big smile on my face as he closed the gap between us pulling me into a loving kiss. I grabbed Sanji's waist as he grasped my neck to continue our kiss only to pull away for air a few seconds later.

Sanji POV
It had come to my attention that Zoro was not anywhere to be seen and knowing him he had wandered off somewhere and was now lost. I was basically done preparing the food for our date later so I packed those into a picnic basket and locked them away so that Luffy couldn't steal the food and left to find Zoro. While I was trying to find my handsome boyfriend, I was checking the surrounding area when I caught a glimpse of his moss green hair. I started to head over to him when he suddenly opened his eyes so I smiled and pulled him into a kiss. Zoro then pulled me closer to him by my waist and I hung my arms on his neck until we both needed to pull away for air. I recomposed myself and then said to Zoro "I've finished the food preparations for later." I paused before I decided to ask the question that I had been thinking of for a little while now "are you sure that the crew won't catch on if we just randomly go from hating each other to wanting to hang out together?" I saw the cogs in my boyfriend's head start to turn but soon enough he came up with his response "I'm sure that Luffy and Usopp won't catch on but Nami might already be onto us. I think that it will be alright to just sneak away from the crew later instead of explicitly saying we are going somewhere." I felt a bit uneasy with the idea of sneaking away from the crew but I guess we didn't really have an option in this case so I agreed with Zoro.

Zoro POV
Sanji didn't seem to be too sure of the idea of sneaking away from the crew so I wanted to make sure that absolutely nothing went wrong with our date tonight. I had already picked the perfect place under a willow tree by the lake and even organised a bouquet of flowers for me to pick up later to give to Sanji. I felt my face going red at the thought of showing up to a date with my boyfriend and giving him flowers while we watch a firework display together. I want everything to be perfect for our first date together so I'm kind of nervous even though I may not be showing it to Sanji.

We had started to head back to the ship and after we had gone past the willow tree spot I decided to take down the directions on my hand so that I would not get lost trying to take Sanji there later. I had also managed to find an old blanket to sit on instead of being on the ground. Now all we had to do was wait until later when we will start our date.
