"Ena, Ena! Look look look!"

Y/n runs up to the slightly taller Ena, holding up an adorable little bunny plush they found.

"Isn't it soooo cute?!" Y/n asks, bouncing up and down due to being so excited.

"Y/n, slow down. How many energy drinks have you had today?" Ena asks, looking up from the paper she was drawing on.

"Uh... None!" Y/n says with a giggle. They clearly had to have had some kind of energy boost.

"Y/n..."

"Okay! I might have... Tried some of your mom's coffee earlier." Y/n admits.

"Y/n! Why would you do that???" Ena asks, getting up from her chair.

"What??? It's not like I'm going to be energetic for the rest of the day.." Y/n replies.

⨯ . ⁺ ✦ ⊹ ꙳ ⁺ ‧ ⨯. ⁺ ✦ ⊹ . * ꙳ ✦ ⊹

"Hey, Y/n, what do you think of this self-portrait?" Ena asks, turning the canvas she was painting on around to show them.

"I don't even have to look, your art is always great." Y/n replies, not looking up from their phone.

"Could you at least take a picture, then? My arms hurt from all the non-stop painting and it's kind of hard to take a selfie while holding a canvas." Ena says, slightly frowning.

"Alright alright." Y/n chuckles, pulling up their phone camera and taking a photo for Ena. "There, happy?"

"Very." Ena gives Y/n a smile, then puts the canvas back.

"Now then, what else is there to do? I've already finished my art project..." Ena trails off, seemingly thinking of what else to do to occupy an artistic busybody such as herself.

"... We could always just go for a walk." Y/n offers, standing up from their seat.

"That's a good idea, I haven't gotten any fresh air today any way." Ena nods, standing up and following behind Y/n as the duo walk outside and away from the Shinonome House.

As the two walk, they admire the scenery. The nature surrounding them. Nature is a beauty, and it's a shame how cruel the world is to it.

"... I wonder what it will be like when there's no more nature to destroy. Will the world just be a wasteland at that point?" Y/n asks as they walk through the forest.

"Most likely." Ena replies, having been thinking the same thing herself.

The two walk a little further, distracted by the wonderful view of the sunset in the forest and the nostalgic feel of the forest itself, as it was where they used to play together themselves as children.

"Hey, Ena, do you see that?" Y/n asks, pointing deeper into a forest, where an abnormally large white rabbit sits, staring at them.

"... Yeah, I definitely see that." Ena says.

The two stare back at the rabbit, until it rushes off in the opposite direction. And out of instinct, Y/n follows it.

"Hey! Y/n, you can't just run after some random rabbit! Get back here!" Ena yells, but to no avail.

And so, with a huff, Ena begrudgingly follows after Y/n and the white rabbit.

The path toward the discovery of Wonderland has begun.
