It had been years since you graduated from both high school and college, and you now worked as a criminal justice lawyer in the city of Houston due to a new job opportunity that had come your way. You didn't know many people in the area besides coworkers and you barely liked them, you'd only been in Texas for at least a week, the anxiety of being in a new city, new state, and being around new people plus the fear of having to start over began to swallow you whole.

Eager to make new friends and meet new people, you decided to download Bumble to test out their new bff feature, but sadly you weren't having much luck. The only people who would message you were people looking for hookups or their next "soulmate", which is understandable because it is a dating app; but that wasn't something you wanted at the moment.

You ended up deciding to scroll on TikTok to find some of the "hot spots" in Houston to relax and unwind since it was a Saturday, and that's when you found "taste". Taste was a kitchen and bar place and not only did that catch your eye, but the menu did as well. You walked into your closet and threw together an outfit— but of course, that was never quick and easy for you because you second-guessed every fit.
