Niyati's pov

Pouring the coffee in the cups, I walked towards my parents room.

As today is Sunday, Mom and Dad will be at home. My Dad, Parthiv Sehgal is a Haematologist and my Mom ,Sadhika Sehgal is a cardiologist by profession. So it is very obvious that they are  very busy due to their profession. I am also in this medical field but the difference is that I am a professor --dermatology professor to be exact.
Sundays are usually free for them and I cherish these Sundays the most as I get to spend time with my parents. Otherwise everyday they leave for 7 am and come home around 8pm and if it is a very lucky day then earlier than 8pm.

“Good morning,” I greeted them in a chirpy way as I entered their room. Dad and Mom were already sitting on the balcony. As soon as they saw me, they greeted me back, “Good morning, Sunshine. Thank you so much for the coffee.” My mom said and took the coffee.
“ Come and have a seat.”, Dad said and made me sit in front of them.
Three of us enjoyed our coffee . Yes, you can call us mad because we can have coffee in deadly summer as well. Well, it's a black coffee.

“Two of you talk, I am making breakfast today.” Dad said as he got up.

“Dad, no. It's your holiday. I will make it.” I was about to get up but Mom and Dad both stopped me. “Niyati, let me make it. It's been ages since he had made something.Let's see if he still can cook or not.” Mom said to Dad. I didn't miss the teasing glint in her eyes.

“So it's a challenge. Hmmm…get ready with your gift ,Sweetheart because I am going to win your heart the way I did years ago.” Dad said with a wink. Mom rolled her eyes but one could easily see her red cheeks and sweet shy smile on the corner of her lips.
I giggled seeing their love filled interaction.

They are my favourite couple. The love, the understanding, the patience, the trust and most importantly the loyalty they have for each other ; the way they never shy away from expressing their love for each other and the way they support each other in every way make me feel the luckiest to have parents like them.

I hope Avyaan and I will have exactly the same bond as my parents have with each other.

“Mom, I am going. Do I need to bring something while coming back?” I asked as I walked towards the hall where Mom was sitting while checking some files.
“No beta. You go and enjoy it.” Mom said with a smile and she looked up, “Wow ,you are looking cute and smart.”
I smiled shyly. I was wearing a neon sleeveless top paired with brown trousers.

Niyati's look

“Thank you, Mom. I will be home by 6 pm.” Saying this I hugged her from behind. I wanted to stay at home so much to spend some time with my parents because it's only Sundays when we could spend the whole day with each other. But I couldn't do anything. Anyways, saying bye to my parents I left my flat.

As soon as I reached the ground floor by the elevator, the car was waiting for me.  I smiled and walked towards it.
But my smile flattered a bit when I saw the driver waiting for me.
“Maybe Avyaan is inside.” I thought to myself.
“Good noon, Mam.” The driver greeted me and opened the backdoor of the car.
I looked inside to see it empty. I frowned.
“Sir told me to drop by the Jewellery shop.” The driver said. I nodded with a small smile and got inside.
“Don't be sad ,Niyu. Maybe he has some important work.” My mind said to me. I nodded in agreement.

Within half an hour, I reached there and walked inside. A smile came on my lips as soon as I spotted him there.
Avyaan stood up from the chair and walked towards me with a smile. He looked cool in a yellow t-shirt and black jeans.
