Mahi's POV:

When I found out that Vidyut had already paid the bill , I wasn't happy about it. Yes, I know he's my brother's friend, but I've only met him once that too just an hour ago, so it doesn't feel right for him to pay my bills .

"Vidyut, why did you pay?" I asked again.

"What's the big deal in that?" he asked nonchalantly.

"Forget it! I know I'll end up losing in this conversation anyway. Come on, let's go quickly. Bhai must be waiting for us," I said impatiently.

After leaving the restaurant, we headed to Bhai's office. Even after the payment incident, neither of us said anything to each other.

We finally reached Bhai's office, and surprisingly, Bhai was waiting downstairs for me. I couldn't contain my emotions upon seeing him. I ran towards him and hugged him tightly, tears welling up in my eyes.

"I miss you, Bhai," I exclaimed loudly, realizing that the office employees must be staring at me.

"I miss you too, my jungli biliya ," he replied, hugging me back.

I don't know why, but I suddenly felt very emotional. Before Bhai could notice my tears and get worried, I wiped them away and pulled back from the hug.

Bhai then noticed Mr. Malhotra standing behind him. They exchanged a brotherly hug, and Bhai invited him to join us inside.

But that handsome shakal without any brain banda refused my brother's invitation, saying, "Not today, Ishaan. I have some important work. Maybe some other time."

"You're always busy with work. Take some time to enjoy life, Stop spending time with your second wife only, and spare some time for your friends," Bhai advised him, and Mr. Malhotra, familiar with Bhai's ways, didn't react much, just giving him a "say one more stupid thing and you are done" look.

"Alright, don't give me that look. I'm not afraid of you-" Bhai was saying when Mr. Malhotra interrupted.

"It seems like you don't value your life, my dear best friend," Mr. Malhotra remarked, and the look on my brother's face was priceless.

Realizing that they were forgetting about me, I intervened, "Bhai, let's go inside. You both can continue this discussion some other day."

"Okay, bye then. Go to your second wife; maybe she's missing you too," Bhai said, giving him a teasing look.

That man left without saying anything, heading towards his car.

I asked Bhai to wait for me for two minutes and ran towards Mr. Malhotra's direction.
