Ehud the Judge

When people of Israel did evil at the sight of the Lord, the Lord strengthened Eglon, the King of Moab against Israel. The Ammonites and Amalakites also rose and defeated Israel and took over the city. So the people of Israel had to serve Eglon, the King of Moab, for eighteen years. Then the people of Israel cried out to the Lord and the Lord delivered Ehud the son of Gera, the
Benjaminite, a left-handed man.

"How do we defeat Eglon?" asked the men.

"We make a tribute" answered Ehud.

But Ehud had a plan. He made a sword with two edges, a cubit in length, and he bound it on his right thigh under his clothes.

Then Ehud went to the palace and presented the tribute to the King.
Now the King was a very fat man. After the presentation he said-

"I have a secret massage for you, O King"

The King was curious and commanded out loud-

"Silence"

All his attendants left his presence. Then the King said-

"Now you must continue"

Edhud came to the King as he sat alone in his coal roof chamber. When he came near to the King he said-

"I have a massage from God for you"

Then the King Eglon rose from his seat.

" YOU-"

   Ehud then reached his left hand. Took the sword from his right thigh and thrust it into his belly. The hilt also went in after the blade and the fat closed over the blade for he did not pull the sword out of his belly and the dung came out.

Then Ehud went out onto the porch and closed the doors of the roof chamber behind him and locked it. He passed beyond the idols and escaped to Seirah.

When he's gone the servant came.  Because of the lock ,they thought the King was asleep. So they waited. But when it's far too long, they take the key and open it. There they found Eglon the King's dead body.

When Ehud arrived he sounded the trumpet in the hill of Ephraim. Then the people of Israel went down from the hill and Ehud led them.

" Follow after me, for the Lord has given your enemies the Moabites into your hands"

"YEAH"

So, they went down after Ehud and killed 10,000 of the Moabites. Moab was seduced that day under the hand of Israel. The land had rest for eighty years.
