The first assailant entered through the opening that had taken less than half an hour to open in that part of the wall that was already worn down by the passage of time. It wasn't very big, but it was enough for a man to get through it without difficulty. The fact that it faced a street that was not very busy and also outside at night favored what they were about to do. They wanted to enter that sacred precinct and desecrate it: as when dogs mark their territory, they wanted to point out that this was already their territory and that, therefore, they were going to begin to impose their laws.
