The Secret's Kept Well

Chapter Two

All I've been doing lately is just working and school.  We have 6 weeks left until graduation and I am so excited and stressed all at once. I can't wait for it to be over.  Today is senior breakfast and our family is supposed to join us for breakfast and an awards ceremony to follow. Graham dropped me and Asher off and we headed to the cafeteria. My dad and the boy are supposed to be there.
"Can u believe we have only 6 weeks left?"  asher says as we walk inside the school. Graham is gonna meet us in.
"I know," I say as we walk into the cafeteria. I found Holly Aaron and Aussy sitting beside her along with Mellie. Holly's older sister. Graham, Mellie, and Aussy all went to school together. They are a few years older than us.  I set down between Aaron and Aussy. "We already got you a plate," Aussy says pushing it to me. I looked down at the plate. Hash brown, eggs, sausage links, and toast. I wasn't feeling like eating but I picked up a sausage link and took a few bites out of it and it made me sick to my stomach.
"Excuse me," I say jumping up and running to the bathroom.  I barely made it to the stall before I started puking. Something I've been doing lately when I smell or eat pork.
"Sis are you okay" I heard Mellie's voice.
I finished puking and walked out of the stall. "Yeah, "I say walking over to the sink. " I don't know what it is but pork is just not working with me lately," I say as I wet a paper towel and wipe my face then wash my hands. 
"Are u sure that's what it is?" she asked.
"Yeah that's it," I say looking at her.
Deep down inside I felt like it was something else and I just wished it would go away.  We went back to the cafeteria and set back down at the table
"You okay, Sistina" Aussy asked.
"Yeah," I say. Mellie kept looking at me.
"Why don't we have a cookout tonight," Aaron says. "It's Friday and today is supposed to be so nice"
"I have work tonight," Holly says.
"It would be fun," Mellie says. "Sucks for u"she stock her tough out at Holly.
"You can ask someone to cover your shift," I asked her.
"I might be able to are you working lunch hour" she asked. Holly and I work at the same dinner.
"Yeah," I say "ask Allie if she wants to do a late shift and let u do a lunch shift" She nodded and pulled out her phone.
"Alright," Aaron says and looks at Graham. "We are having a cookout, Meet at the house what time " he looked at me and Aussy.
"5," Aussy says. "It can't be too late we still got some work to be done" he smiles. 

The breakfast didn't last long and the award ceremony went by pretty fast. Our school is small so there are not a lot of us leaving. However, we did have a lot of awards. Holly is in the National Honor Society. And Asher is graduating with all honors. I didn't expect anything but I was awarded for working two jobs on top of going to school and for having all A's. Since we had the ceremony we didn't have to stay a full day.
We all got let out at 12. So I went to the dinner and helped with the lunch rush and am waiting for Aaron to pick me up. It wasn't too long before he came riding in on his Indian scout. He pulled up beside me.
"You need a ride young lady" he smiled taking off his helmet and handing it to me.
"No thanks my brother told me not the talk to strangers" he started laughing. I put my phone wallet and everything in my backpack and put it on backward so the bag itself is in between me and Aaron. He gave me his helmet and I got on beside him.  The drive home was so nice and wasn't very long. I love the spring and autumn seasons Aaron had put on Avenged sevenfold through the headset connected to the bike helmet. 

I didn't feel very good. As I walked through the door. Mellie and Aussy were sitting on the couch.
"Your home" Aussy smiled and got up. "how was the lunch rush"
"Not too bad," I say walking to the stairs. All I wanted was to lie down. My feet were killing me. I put my bag down by my door and took off my shoes and then I fell on my bed. A few minutes later there was a knock at my door. "come in" I said flipping over on my back to see who was at my door.
"It's just me," Mellie says. "how are u doing," she asks.
"I don't feel so good," I say. "are u still puking," she asked putting her hand on my face. "yeah"
"Well, could u be pregnant" she asked.
"Do what?" I say looking at her.
"The signs are there, I got a few tests if u want to take them," she says with a worried look. I nodded.
"I could be," I say looking down.
"Hey, it's okay if you are" she smiles. "let me go to my car and grab them, it's gonna be okay sissy," she says and got up and left the room.
Oh God, I think to myself now everyone probably thinks I am pregnant. I could feel the tears running down my face. It was a few minutes later when Mellie came back into my room. "I got you two," she says handing me the box.  I have my own bathroom so I just went to it and took the test.  I took them and laid them on my bathroom counter. I opened my door to see Aussy sitting next to her. He had a worried look on his face. "you told him" I say quietly. "I already had a feeling sis, I am the one that asked her to come over to do this before the cookout," he says. "I'm not mad I'm just worried about you" I nodded. "we have to wait like 3 mins," I say sitting next to Aussy. "it's gonna be okay sis," he says putting his arm around me kissing the side of my head.  "You want me to go look," Mellie says. I nodded. I didn't feel like getting back up. She walked into the bathroom and came back out with the tests in her hand.  "Sistina, they're positive," she says flipping the tests around. "no way," I say... "It's okay sissy, it's not a bad thing it could be a good thing," Aussy says.
"Yeah, but that's not what I'm crying about," I say.
"What is it, who's the dad," he asked. "it's okay if u don't want to tell us right now but u will have to eventually.
"Zacky," I say looking away.
"What," Mellie said with raised eyebrows. "like zacky as in zacky vengeance" I nodded.  "No fucking way" she smiled.
"The night at the hotel," I say "he's the only one I've slept with" I could see the range in Aussy face.
"Ant he like 30," he says looking at Mellie. "it's gonna be okay," he says. "I gotta go outside real quick,"  he says getting up and walking out.
"Come here sis," Mellie says reaching for a huge. "was it fun" she asked.
"Oh my God" I laughed. "No one gonna believe me"
"We do," she said. "it's gonna be alright" I nodded.
What am I gonna do? I think to myself. Everyone is already making up this crazy story about that night and now to know I'm knocked up from it. Just makes everything worse.
"I'm gonna go talk to Aussy," Mellie says. "You don't have to come down for the cookout unless u want to," she says and I nod.
"Do you know if Holly is here?" I asked.
"She coming with Asher, but look if you don't want to tell anyone you don't have to this is a lot to deal with I would do baby sets,"   she says. "this can cause a lot of drama"
"Okay," I agreed.
I lay on my bed for a little bit.  I decided to get up and go talk to Aussy. I walked downstairs and he and Mellie were in the kitchen making food.
"So who's all coming tonight," I asked walking in.
"So far it's just us,"  Mellie says.
"Okay," I say . "do you need any help" Aussy looked at me then at Mellie. He looked back at me. "I made you a sandwich turkey and cheese," he said pulling a plate out of the microwave.  "How about we go ahead and eat and talk," he says. "okay" I nodded.
Aussy put his arm around my shoulders and we walked across the kitchen throw the sliding glass doors and outside to the glass table. Mellie followed us.
Aaron was already sitting outside.
We all set down.
"Have you thought much about what you are going to do?" Aaron asked looking at me.
"Do you want to keep it?" Aussy says looking at me.  "Yeah," I say picking up the sandwich.
"Okay," Aussy says.
"We have a couple more questions," Aaron says.
Then Asher, Holly, and Graham walked out of the sliding glass door. "starting this party without us" Graham said. "you know we're the life of the party" he laughed.
"Can we talk about this later?" I asked Aussy.
"Yes, sistina we can" he nodded and looked at Aaron.
"Okay," I say.
