The Secret's Kept Well

Chapter Three

Mellie made me a doctor's appointment with her ob-gyn and my appointment is today at lunchtime. She's gonna come to get me at the beginning of lunch since my car is still messed up. I've been kind of descent with Holly and Asher bc I don't know what to say. I want to go to the doctor and get it confirmed before I start telling anyone else about it.
When the lunch bell rang I went to the main office instead of the lunch room. I sat there waiting for Mellie to come get me. The door opened and I looked up to see who it was.  At first, I didn't realize who it was but was glad to see him.
"Tyler," I say.
"Hey, Sistina," he says hugging me. "it's been forever, how have you been" he asked.
"I've been good, working my tail off but I've been good" I smile. "Are you graduating with us?" I asked.
"Yes me and faith are" he smiles.
Faith and Tylor got pregnant our freshman year and had to be moved to home school. "I'm so excited," I say as  Mellie walks in. "Sistina are you ready to go" she asked. I nodded. "I have to go but it was nice running into you, we should cough up sometimes, " I say as I walk over to Mellie. "most definitely" he smiles. "hand me your phone and I'll put our numbers in" I handed him my phone and he put his and faiths number in it.
"Was that Tyler Long?" Mellie asked.
"Yeah, they're gonna be able to graduate with us" I smile. "ain't that awesome" she nodded. "didn't they drop out because he got his girlfriend pregnant," she asked.
"They didn't drop out, they moved to homeschool," I say. "oh," she says and we get in her car.  She drove us to the appointment. They didn't take long to get us in.
We were taken to a room where we waited for the doctor.
"Hey Sistina wise, I'm Doctor Lockhart. I understand you need to comfort a pregnancy" she says
"Yes ma'am," I say.
"Okay, have you missed your period and have you taken a test yet" she asked.
"Yes," I say. "I took two tests last week which were both positive " She nodded.
"When was your last period," she asked.
"I believe January," I say thinking. "The concert was in February." She nodded again.
"We are gonna take a blood sample," she says "Is that okay," I nodded
"Yes," I say.
"So how is your eating and are you getting morning sickness" she asked.
"Yes, I have a lot of morning sickness"
"Okay," she says. "I will have the nurse come in to draw some blood, I will be right back"
"Okay," I say and look at Mellie.
"Do you know how far along you are?" Mellie asked. "have you counted it or not"
"I haven't done anything," I say.
"Okay," she smiled and pulled out her phone.
"Well the concert was in Feb so you probably are about 5/6 weeks or 7," she says.
A few minutes later the nurse comes in and draws blood from them. It hurt a little but not too much. The doctor came in a few minutes later.
"So you are pregnant and with the information you gave me you are 7 weeks,"  she says. "I gotta ask you, do you want to keep the pregnancy or abort it?" She asked.
"I want to keep the baby," I said witch she smiled. "All right then I am gonna give you some prenatal vitamins for you to take every day and some nausea meds for your morning sickness," she says. "We are gonna make an appointment for a few weeks out but if you feel like you need to be seen sooner call and let us know," she says. "do you have any questions"  "I am graduating in 5 weeks and I also work at a dinner five days out of the week and also work in an office of an auto shop for 6 days out of the  week"
"Okay," she says "maybe cut down on the working, focus on school, and cut down on your working hours because you don't want to work so much," she says and I nod. "Is that all" "Yes ma'am" I say. "okay I will make you an appointment for after graduation and we will do an alto sound at that appointment" "Okay" I say and we walk to the front desk and make the appointment for a few days after graduation.
"You could quit your dinner job and work for the boys," Mellie says as we walk to the car. She stopped and looked at me. "sissy" she says which made me stop. "what"I say "You might want to wear bigger clothes bc I think you're already showing" she says.
"What," I say and hurry to the car. I'm wearing black yoga pants and a T-shirt.
"Are the pants too tight?" she asked.
" I don't think so," I say.
"Okay," she says. "well let's get home, when do you work at the dinner"
"Tomorrow, I'll go in and let them know it will be my last day," I say. And she nodded.
"When are you gonna tell Holly and Asher" she asked.
"I don't know," I say. "I  haven't been talking to them and I don't know what to do"
"You can tell them," she says. "you guys have been best friends since like second grade"  I nodded. "she's gonna be hurt if she's the last to know" "I know," I say. "why don't u invite them and Tyler and faith over and tell them all together. Faith has been thou this. "
"That's a good idea, Mel," I say. I texted Tyler, Faith, Holly, and Asher and told them to meet me at my house in a few hours. "what about my dad" I said. "he's always gone thou"
"No, you need to tell your dad," Mellie says. "Aussy was talking about that last night and don't tell him I told you but if anything goes south he said that you could move in with Aaron and him" That about made me cry. Although Aussie isn't my bio bother, he is the best brother and I don't know what I would do without him. "okay" I say. "would you know when he's coming back" I asked.
"I don't,"  she says. "why don't you text him and ask him when his coming by," she says.
"I might talk to Aussy about it tonight," I say. "I bust my butt to pay the bills and buy food and everything for him to just be gone all the damn time," I say.
"I understand that," she says. "I kinda forgot about it, but yeah I would talk to Aussy about it".  We got to my house. I walked into the house to see Tylor and Faith sitting on the couch.
"Hey, guys," I say walking over to them. "is Asher and Holly here yet"
"No, it's just us," Tylor says. "I had to come to talk to Aaron and Aussy about continuing working after graduation "
"Oh that would be fun," I say sitting down beside Faith.
"How's the baby" I asked
"Oh she is growing," Faith says and pulls out her phone and she's me a picture of their daughter  Mia.   "Oh, she's so cute," I say looking at her. "God Tylor did u shit her out," I say and they both started laughing. 
"Oh, no, she came out of me," Faith says.  Asher and Holly came thou the door a few minutes later.
Holly didn't look too happy.  Asher looked happy to see me thou.
"So what did you need to talk about sis," Holly says sitting down in the armchair. 
"Well," I say taking in a deep breath and letting it out "I'm pregnant".
"Oh my God," Faith says "Congrats" she hugs me.
Holly's eyes looked like they were about to pop out of her head.
"Oh shit," Asher says. "congratulations sissy," he says and hugs me. "thank you," I say Holly got up and walked out the back door.
"Holly," I say getting up. "Sis give her some space," Tyler says. "you remember how she was when we told her I was pregnant, she quit talking to me," Faith says.  Mellie walked into the living room. "let me go talk to her" she said "No I need to talk to her" I said walking out to her.
"Holly" I called out for her. "can you please talk to me"
"Why" she turns around. "you don't even talk to me anymore," she says.
"Holly, I just found out last week that I was pregnant," I say. "I went to the doctor today to confirm. I'm not telling everyone" I say.
"Why" she asked. "And with my sister"
"Because," I say. "I just don't want to"
"Who's the father" she asked and honestly I wasn't ready for that decision yet.
"I don't have to tell you that," I say.
"I don't even know who you are anymore Sistina, I thought I was my best friend," she says and walks away. She walked into the house and left.
I walked back into the house. "well she's pissed because I won't tell her who the dad is" I say.
"If you're not ready to tell anyone then that's none of her business," Tyler says.
"Let her calm down," Mellie says "I'll go talk to her tonight" I nodded.
"I wanted to tell y'all but I don't want a whole lot of people to know," I say " I would like it to be just between us for right now," I say and they all nod.
"We understand completely," Faith says. "I don't regret Mia but I wish we would have kept her a little secret a little bit, people at school are hateful," she says.
"I know and theirs still so many stories going around about me at the concert," I say.
"Yeah, I've heard," Tyler says. "Nick's mouth is always running".  "Oh we know," Asher says rolling his eyes.
"Well, we are here for you are, and are excited for you, but we are gonna have to get going," Tyler says. "you can always message us for anything," Faith says hugging me.
"Thank y'all," I say hugging her back.
"I'm gonna have to get going too," Asher says. " I will see you tomorrow at school, I won't worry about Holly but I'm excited for you. I'm gonna be an uncle" he smiles.  They all three walked out. Mellie left as well.
Aaron and Aussy were setting out back in the backyard. They had a fire going.  I walked outside to them. It was completely dark but the sun was setting. 
"Hey sissy," Aaron says.
"How are you feeling sis" Aussy asked looking at me.
"I don't know, I didn't expect Holly  and react like that," I say. "there are so many emotions"
"Did you tell them who the father was?" Aaron asked.
"No," I say. "I know shit will get stirred up for sure," I say. "I can't handle that stress right now".
"I know," Aussy says. He put his hand on my back. "we will help out as much as we can sis" he said. I sit on the armchair and lead back on Aussy.
"Thank you, Bubba," I say.
"Are u gonna tell your dad?" Aaron asked.
"I don't know, he's never here," I say.
"Yeah, I get that," Aussy says. " I won't blame u sis"
"Can I ask y'all honest opinion? " I say they both look at me.  I stood up and pulled up my shirt. "does it look like I'm showing" I asked. "Oh shit" Aussy says. "you look father than 7 weeks," he says.
"I know," I say "I didn't realize until after the appointment"
"Now you positive it's Zacky's"
"Yes," I say.
"Okay," Aussy says "Do you feel big"
"I don't know," I say. "I do feel theirs something in there but I'm only 7 weeks that not normal right?"
"Well, I don't know Sistina I've never been pregnant" Aussy laughs.
"Well, I better go to bed," I say. "Are y'all staying the night?" I asked.
"Yeah," Aussy says.
I walked into the house and up to my room.

First off sorry for the short chapter and I know it's kinda going slow but it will pick up here in a few chapters for sure :). I have written at least ten chapters already so rn I'm just editing and adding to them.
